Perfect Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2007
a very good cake, only reason for 4 stars being, i can't remember it all that well. i made it a while back and remembered that it was good, and i should review it. nothing exceptional but it is a good chocolate cake and it does work very well for cutting and filling/frosting. i cut it in half and spread it with lemon filling. (the recipe is on this site. its by Carol)

Mediterranean Black Olive Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2007
This was a FANTASTIC bread. very moist and chewy with a great flavor. only thing is, it needs some more olives. Also, try to be gentle when keading because the olives will crumble easily. Great recipe though.

Peppery Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2007
Very good recipe. I was looking for an alternative to regular peanut brittle, because my family thinks it is too sweet. this was very good, only change i would make is to add a wee bit more sauce, after it had set it was still quite sweet.

Italian Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2007
Perhaps I"ve done something wrong, since everyone says these are so good, but nobody who ate mine liked them. first off, I added far more flavoring than it calls for and they still were very bland. Second when i first made them I forgot the baking powder, and I almost think they were better hard, instead of soft. (with the baking powder.) Also, I can't understand why the recipe says to shape them in loops. All in all not a cookie I would make again.

Double Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2007
A most excellent pudding. Instead of evaporated milk, which often overpowers other tastes i added whole milk and cream together to make the 5 oz. needed. sets very nicely and quickly. perfect for short notice. Also added chopped bananas and walnuts, which i havn't tasted yet, but promises to be good. Plus it has thick skin on it which i love!
