Shrimp Scampi Cheesecake Appetizer

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2007
I also used the pre-made mini phillo dough shells. I thought this tasted great. My hubby and others were not as impressed....thought they were good, but not "to die for."

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2008
Very good and very easy. You can add the chicken frozen which makes it even easier(and shred later toward the end). I used a larger sized can of petite diced tomatoes instead of the whole, mashed(too much extra work), I also omitted the water and used extra chicken broth, and I added a can of black beans. This was a terrific recipe with delicious flavor.

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2008
I do not typically care for this type of thing, but really liked this recipe. I did make it early in the morning and let it sit in the fridge all day to combine the flavors. Also, I did not bake the bread first, just put the topping on, and then I did use sliced pieces of mozzarella as opposed to the shredded. Turned out great. Just watch it like a hawk when in the broiler...it bakes super fast.

Very delicious, but I am not a huge fan of strong cream cheese flavored frosting. Really pretty presentation too!

Awesome Korean Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2008
Loved it!! The only difficult part is slicing the meat paper thin...I used a filet knife. I made it the night before and let it marinate. Super yummy. Toddlers and hubby loved it!

Bob's Awesome Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2008
Great!! I did as others suggested and added a beaten egg to the cottage cheese. I also cover it with foil for the first part of baking so as not to burn the cheese on top. Can be made healthier even with ground turkey and whole wheat pasta if you want.

Savory Garlic Marinated Steaks

Very good flavor over all. I don't feel like I can truly give it 5 stars because I was not blown away. I will definitely try this again!

Chocolate Trifle

Out of this world! I did as others have suggested and used a little caramel sauce on the brownie bits. Also used homemade whipped cream in between the layers as well as the crumbled heath topping. Crazy rich and yummy!
