Pumpkin Fluff Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2012
It's a good base idea, that can be changed for personal preferences. Our household likes strong flavors, and doesn't have much of a sweet tooth. We tweaked it for our tastes by adding 2 cans of pumpkin, only 1.5 8oz tubs of cool whip, and a regular sized package of pudding. We also doubled the spices. With the changes, for our household, it's a 5!

Apple Stuffed Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2010
It was good, although a little bland. I felt like it was missing something. I might try to add a little celery, and maybe some more spices next time. And I didn't really thing the bread crumbs were necessary.

Seminary Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2009
Very good. I used WAY more bananas than it called for, which made them kind of mushy, but still very good. I used raisins rather than chocolate chips, and ran out of brown sugar, so I only used about 2T of brown sugar, and about 1/4 c honey. Also, I used wheat flour rather than regular.

Slow Cooker Latin Chicken

Reviewed: May 6, 2009
Really good and easy. My boyfriend said it was the best crock-pottery I'd ever done! I will definately do this again. I followed another reviewer's recommendation and added frozen corn. I also didn't have allspice, so I added a little pumpkin pie spice - it has allspice in it.... You could taste it, but it actually wasn't half bad!

Pear Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2009
Very good and sooooo easy. I used a spice cake mix rather than white, and thought it complemented the pear flavor nicely. I also coated the bundt pan with cinnamon sugar rather than frosting or glazing it. I used no-sugar-added canned pears and thought it was plenty sweet. Will definitely make this again!

I agree the cooking time was off, but otherwise good.

Vegan Lemon Poppy Scones

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2008
I didn't have poppy seeds, so maybe that was the problem, and I might have added too much liquid because they were quite cake-like, and not very scone-y, Probably won't make them again.

Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2008
A good base, but quite bland. I would definately add more spice to it next time. Also, it seemed like they were quite watery, I won't add the water next time.

Chinese-Style Steamed Fish

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2008
It was ok, although a little bland. A little tweaking might be needed, bit I'll try it again. Maybe add some green pepper and thicken the sauce for serving.

Throw Together Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2008
A solid "eh". I added some extra spice, tomato sauce and taco sauce. It's nice to find a casserole that's relatively healthy however. I'll probably keep it in my week night rotation, but continue tweaking it as well.

Momma's Wine Cake

Reviewed: May 3, 2008
Good, I took the advice of other reviews and added merlot - the taste was great, although the color (pasty grey) left something to be desired. Also, I didn't have nutmeg, so I use cinnamon instead. I served it at a dinner party with raspberry sorbet, and it seemed to be a hit.

Pumpkin-Apple Muffins with Streusel Topping

Reviewed: May 1, 2008
Good, I used one cup sugar and less oil than it called for and it turned out fine (I don't like muffins that are super sweet). I thought they were pretty good, but I brought them to a class and everyone loved them!

Sausage Smothered in Red Cabbage

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2008
Good, a little more flavor would be good. I followed other advice and added some caraway, and used turkey sausage. Not good as leftovers however.

Ricotta Stuffed Squash

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2007
This was very bland and the squash was very under-done even though I steamed it for 10 minutes instead of the recommended 5. The stuffing was fine, although pretty tasteless. The only thing in the recipe with any flavor was the spaghetti sauce topping. I will not make this again.
