Wow! How can something with so few [basic] ngredients taste like it came out of a fancy chocolate shop? These are to die for!!! Takes some work when it comes to coating them in the chocolate... most of the work involves not eating as you go!!!

Cheese Enchiladas

I liked how easy and quick they were, but one onion was way too much, in my opinion. I'm sure if I'd sauteed them first as some reviewers did, it would have been better. Otherwise, so much raw onion just overpowered the taste.

Italian Love Cake

Pretty good... something different from the norm, not too sweet. It looked quite odd coming out of the oven -- the sides raised up and over the middle, and it was crazy lumpy. Good thing the top layer covers all flaws. Anxious to see if it's better tomorrow... this was just okay.

Tomato Spinach and Basil Soup

Very good taste and couldn't be easier! I followed advice of another reviewer and added the milk at the end. Then I put it in the blender to make it look more appealing. Served it with a warm crusty sourdough baguette -- delicious!

Cinnamon Mini-Muffins

These were good. I added the extra ingredients other reviewers suggested. 3/4 tsp of allspice is a bit too much -- make sure you keep that at 1/2 like the recipe calls for. I added 1/4 c. sour cream as a reviewer suggested, and they were a little too gummy, I thought, so maybe I should have added more/less of other things...?

Banana Sour Cream Bread

The taste was incredible, so I gave it 5 stars. I did the no-nos of using applesauce instead of butter, and nonfat sour cream. It stayed pretty raw in and I cooked it for way over an hour. In the end it was still pretty gooey in the middle, but that was from my adaptations, I'm sure. The flavor itself is delish.

Mimi's Smoked Salmon Chowder

Wow -- this was fantastic! I was upset to discover halfway through that I didn't have any tarragon in the house, but it was too late to turn back. It still turned out great! I used fat free half and half and it just couldn't have been better. I almost never cook the same thing twice, but I will definitely be making this again for Christmas -- after I buy some tarragon. Thanks for an awesome recipe!

Wow, I don't know what I did wrong but these were way too dry to easily form into logs. Then when I tried slicing them, they pretty much just crumbled into chunks. The taste was good but I wish mine looked like the ones in the pictures!

Moroccan Vegetable Soup

A nice hearty soup for a rainy day. One word of caution if you're a beginner like me: My parsnip yielded more than one cup but I thought what the heck, don't be wasteful... wrong! It really overpowered the rest of the flavors. After adding more of everything else to balance it out, it turned out to be quite a good vegetarian dish.

Almost No Fat Banana Bread

Great low-fat choice! I followed the advice of others re using a little salt and nutmeg, and substituted part of the sugar with Splenda. I only had cinnamon applesauce on hand, which worked great. It made 9 large muffins, baked for about 24 minutes. While they aren't as good as the neighborhood bakery, they have a LOT fewer grams of fat. Thanks!
