Easy Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2013
We use 1 lb venison and 1/2 lb pork with this recipe, along with worcestershire sauce. The milk/bread mixture looks way to wet when mixed in but the end result is delicious! The sauce topping does taste like barbecue sauce...Who knew?

Butter Rich Spritz Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2012
I've had many spritz recipes over my 50+ years but this is by far the best. They taste like those delicate butter cookies that cost lots of money at the bakery!

Pork Brine

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2009
This is our new favorite way to prepare BBQ spareribs!!!!! After marinating the slab of pork spareribs i patted them dry, place them in a baking dish with a little water and covered them with foil. Baked in 300 oven about 30 minutes, then finished them on the grill. You could easily do without the sauce because them flavor if the ribs are delicious as is!

Venison with Blackberry Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2013
Made this sauce exactly as written, including the cornstarch addition. None of the ingredients stole the show. The sauce was delicious over medium-rare grilled venison steaks. This is worthy of making for company.

This tastes as good as it smells! Here's a great post-Thanksgiving sandwich idea: Warm Pannini sandwich stuffed with turkey breast, Swiss cheese and this cranberry sauce...yummm!

GA Peach Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2011
This cake tasted delicious and remained fresh for days. Be sure to chop the peaches super small. One half recipe is the perfect size for a loaf pan.

This recipe is so yummy, healthy and light. I used northern pike fish. Don't forget to put out some sliced avocado too!

Strawberry Syrup

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2008
I saved 1/4 cup of the water and added 1 tsp cornstarch, stirring until smooth. I added that during the last minute of cooking and it thickened beautifully. I'm sure you could add some finely diced rhubarb too! This was yummy on pancakes, angel food cake, and ice cream.

Florentine Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
This is my go-to appetizer recipe for years. The ingredients are perfect just as written. I always get requests for the recipe. Hint: Let your food processor do all the work for you. It makes the prep work a snap!

A Farewell to Basil Fettuccine

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2009
Unbelievably delicious!!!!! I tossed the cooked pasta in a sauce of sauteed mushrooms, canned artichokes, canned diced tomatoes and garlic. Topped it with parmesan cheese just before serving....YUMMY! I shared this recipe with all my friends with herb gardens.

Sicilian Ricotta Cheesecake

Reviewed: May 20, 2009
Very easy and quick. It has a grittier texture than a cream cheese based cake, but it's much lighter. It stores well in the fridge for days also. I added the amaretto as suggested. Yummm!

Grilled Pheasant Poppers

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2013
These are so good! Be sure to use jarred jalopenos, not the canned ones for nachos. We learned the hard way that those are way to big and much hotter!

Refrigerator Pickles

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2013
This is so much easier than the "Freezer Pickles" recipe I've been using. I also cut the sugar in half with this recipe and it still has the perfect sweet tang.

Green Bean and Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2011
This is a great salad for a summer meal. In a pinch, you can use frozen green beans and add them to the boiling potatoes for just a minute to thaw them out, then drain both veggies and continue on with the recipe.

Beer Cake I

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2008
I followed the recipe exactly as written. It filled the bundt pan to the top. The cake is more like a chiffon texture. Topped simply with powdered sugar, it makes a simple light dessert.

Miracle Baking Powder Pie Crust

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2008
I also used the butter/shortening combo like others. And I can say this is my new favorite crust for fruit pies! I never liked ready-made refridgerator or freezer crusts because they are always to thin to stand up to hot juice and gravy. This did just great! I'm sure it will be awesome with my chicken pot pie recipe too.

Two-Bean Rice Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2009
This is a beautiful, colorful vegan salad. The missing ingredient is lemon juice. I mixed in a good amount to the dressing. (I calculated this recipe down to 6 servings) adn added about 1/3 lemon juice). I added some rotisserie chicken to it for a light lunch. Still don't think I would make it again.

Lemon-Lime Cupcakes

This is a heavy textured cake. Not something the kids will like. Good flavor though. I topped mine with cream cheese frosting and coconut.
