Almond Cherry Biscotti

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2008
Very tasty. I used Almond extract because it goes so much better with almond biscotti. I also used only 1/2 cup of chopped almonds and 3/4 cup of coarsly chopped marachino cherries. It was the perfect amount. I would really suggest to put a piece of aluminum foil on the baking sheet before placing the dough. It is so much easier to just pick up the foil by the sides and place on racks to cool. Wait the 15 minutes then peel the foil off slowly and place on the cutting board to slice.

Baked Soy Lemon Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2008
I followed the recipe exactly and the chops came out very tasty. I used pork chops from Costco and they were thick so I increased the cooking time 10 minutes.

Superb!! Tastes exactly like the biscotti you buy at a bakery. So easy to make and cheap too! I used almond extract and was so thrilled with the result. Try this recipe, you won't be disappointed!

Baked Ham

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2007
I used a smoked ham so really only had to heat it through and not 'cook' it so I put it in for 2 hours. I skipped the cloves because I didn't have any. The ham turned out moist and tender with a hint of swweetness. Very simple to do.

Onion Potato Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2007
Very yummy! I used real potatoes and needed only 6 cups as another reviewer advised. I substituted the red peppers for finely chopped broccoli because that's what I had on hand and it turned out great. Thanks for sharing!

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2007
I didn't have cloves so I used nutmeg instead, and I used all Becel instead of butter/shortening. I only had 1/2 cup of raisens so I also added 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts for extra oomph. They were Delicious!! Everyone loved them even my fussy toddler!

Crunchy Apple Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2007
I followed the recipe exactly and it came out delicious. But I did need to add 10 minutes to the baking time. I found the batter a little hard to mix and thought it was too dry but once it baked it came out perfect. The bread was very tasty without being too sweet or heavy. Perfect with coffee or tea. The kids love it too. Thanks for sharing!

The best banana bread I've ever made and I've made a lot. Very moist. I made it with 3 bananas, 1/2 white 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 white 1/2 whole wheat flour. And sprinkled cinnamon sugar on top from another's suggestion. It was delicious. Thanks for sharing!

The texture seemed a little dry while mixing but it was delicious once baked. The top had a little crunch on top-yummy! I substituted the pecans for walnuts and added 1/2 cup of raisens.

Have you ever met a dog that refused a cookie? Me neither. My dogs loved these cookies! And the ingrdients are so simple and usually on hand. Who knows the that goes into store bought dog treats. I thank you and my doggies thank you.

Yummmmy! I halved the recipe and used an 8 inch square dish. I used half whole wheat flour and half white and instead of butter I used Becel. Totally yummy with less guilt! Try this recipe you won't be disappointed.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2007
Followed the recipe exactly and found it was definitely missing something. My children loved it, maybe because it was so plain. The adults could have used maybe some nutmeg or allspice to liven it up.
