Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2010
I'll be totally honest, I didn't have really high hopes for this but I was in a rush and the chicken was already cooked. It is really good weeknight dinner....husband really liked it.

Molasses Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
wonderful! I realized after I had already started that I only had 1/2 cup of shortening so I went for the margerine. Low and behold, there was only 1/2 cup of that too! So I ended up using 1/2 cup shortening, 1/2 cup margerine and 1/2 cup butter. Worked perfectly! Really does make 72 cookies....possibly a few more and they are the PERFECT size! Thank you!

Broccoli Cheese Soup V

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2009
Here is the skinny. I have made this twice now. The first time, exactly as written. The velveeta was a bit overwhelming but I could tell that a variation would yeild the perfect soup. That being said, the second time I made it I used fresh broccoli and seperated the very tips of the broccoli and the stalks and only boiled the stalks. When they were tender, I put them in the blender and pureed. I than returned it to the pot and added the tips of the broccoli so they cooked but stayed just a little crisp. The rest of the directions were followed but 1 pound of velveeta was used and 8 ounces sharp cheddar. It was really great. The only other thing that I will change to make it PERFECT next time will be use 8 ounces of velveeta and 1 pound cheddar. Really fantastic though. p.s. this makes 8 one cup servings or 6 one and a half cup servings.

Fresh Grapefruit Juice Smoothie

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
Pretty good but with a name like "fresh grapefruit juice smoothie", I expected something that tasted a little more like grapefruit. Really this is a strawberry bannan smoothie with a little grapefruit. Worth making again with a little tweaking to taste.

Jo's Rosemary Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2009
I'm not a real big fan of bread machines so I did this one in my kitchen Aid and then the oven per Muffinmom's insturctions. The smell is out of this world while it was baking. I know this sounds strange, but it almost had the consistancy of a cake donut.....very tender. My only complaint is that I think there is a touch too much pepper. I might do 3/4 of what the recipe calls for next time.

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
Very good! I did add bacon and used a roasted chicken for ease. My issue with this is that it is called 'chicken and WILD RICE soup'. Not 'chicken, long grain, and wild rice soup'. Point being that those boxed rice mixes have so little wild rice that it almost is silly to even mention it. This would be a 5 if it were all wild rice. You would think this would an easy fix however, I think that the seasoning packet from the long grain and wild rice just about made the dish so I wouldn't exactly swap the boxed stuff with wild rice.

English Muffin Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2009
When this first came out of the oven, but cut a piece imediatly and ate it with a little butter and thought it was pretty good. My husband however that it was the best thing sense sliced bread......wait...nevermind. This morning however, I threw it in the toaster and that brought it to a whole 'nother level! It halved the recipe with no problems! Used it to make a breakfast toaster sandwhich.

Baked Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2009
I'm debating back and forth between 4 stars and 5 stars. 4 for me because it was really good but not out of this world, but my husband has declared it his new favorite side dish so that automatically bumps it up to a 5. And to the person who rated this recipe a 1 because they had to bake it for an hour and the potatoes were still hard.......re-read the directions. It states that you are suppose to use cooked potatoes! User error, not recipe error so try this one anyways:)
