Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2011
Awesome recipe! I made this several times through Lent. Everyone loves it. I skillet-fry the onions and spices with veggie oil and then add the chicken broth. I also add a good squirt or two of vinagre and a 1/4 cup of sugar. In a slow-cooker, I put the beans and chicken and then pour the broth mixture over that. I cook it on the low setting for 4-6 hours...DE-DILSH! Everyone just adds their own cheese (and chopped green onions/cilantro) to individual bowls.

Dawn's Candied Walnuts

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2010
Amazing! I quartered the recipe and the mixture only took about 4 minutes to reach the proper stage/consistancy. Also, if you happen to have GRANITE countertops, no need to use parchment paper...just plop the nuts directly onto the granite and immediately separate with a fork. Thanks for the wonderful recipe--I'm using them for a salad for dinner.

Best Ever Blueberry Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2009
I *wanted* to like this recipe, I really did. It sounded so good. But I was really disappointed. The orange juice gave the berries a strange, almost-rancid flavor and there was not enough sweetness (in either the filling or topping)to really call this "dessert". I'll try a different recipe next time.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2009
PERFECT. I doubled this recipe--I only had 5 bananas though, and I forgot to add the baking powder (duh!)...but still, these turned out amazingly well. My three kids and I just had one for lunch with a glass of milk. 5 stars from everyone!

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2009
WONDERFUL RECIPE! I've made this about a dozen times now and it always turns out great. I usually halve the recipe and use 2.5 bags of extra butter microwave popcorn. I also only bake for about 15 minutes because I usually have several kids breathing down my neck. DELICIOUS!

Candied Almonds

LOVE this recipe! I actually halved it and put it on a scant cup of whole walnuts...the whole process only took about 5 minutes, so I'm thinking you're better off making smaller, fast batches. DELICIOUS! Thanks for the great recipe!

A Number One Egg Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
I halved the recipe and, as other reviewers suggested, just used 3 whole eggs. I also added 1/4 cup of honey. I was not happy with the results--the bread did not rise enough and was crumbly? BUT, since I didn't stick to the original recipe, I didn't think it was fair to ding the rating too much. Just thought I'd warn other cooks to think twice before tweaking the original version too much.

Strawberry Shortcake

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2007
I was a little (lot?) disappointed in this recipe. It looked great and had a wonderful texture but did not have enough flavor and was NOT SWEET ENOUGH for my taste. Next time, I'll add some vanilla and a little sugar.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

All I can say is "WOW"...Fantastic recipe!...I joined allrecipes just so I could give this 5 stars...I only used 4 large bananas (had 5 but my 3 y.o. ate one)...so I added a little extra sour cream for moisture...this will deinitely be "THE" banana bread recipe I use from now on...can't wait to share my loaves with my friends!
