BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2008
The beef broth is not "needed" since the fat from the meat provides more than enough liquid to keep the pork from drying out...however it does add subtle depth and flavor to the meat. There are plently of good homemade BBQ sauce recipes on this site...try something new instead of grabbing a bottle at the store....use a pork butt...it's easier.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2008
I didn't bother to roll the chicken breasts, I just placed the cheese and ham on the chicken during the last five minutes when simmering in the wine. I have got to say this dish is top notch....thanks for the great recipe.

Oregon Salmon Patties

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2008
I am originally from Maryland, so I am a huge crab cake fan. Essentially, this is a "poor man's crab cake," and surprisingly very good. Once everything is mixed the patties are hard to keep together, don't worry once you put the patties in the frying pan they firm up nicely. I added a little lemon juice and a tablespoon of Old Bay. Thanks for the great recipe.

A Jerky Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2008
Not quite authentic jerk, but pretty close. I gotta say some of the reviews on here are RIDICULOUS! It is common sense that when cutting up hot peppers to wear gloves or just not touch the pulp..and yes this is a spicy dish...that is what Jerk Chicken is SUPPOSED TO BE, so don't complain that it is too hot, traditional jerk recipes use scotch bonnett peppers which are close in heat content to a habanero... if that is too hot for you then use jalapenos or cut back to anaheim or poblano peppers. Thanks for the good recipe!

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2008
Although not exactly the traditional pepper steak ...I really liked this recipe, add the peppers and onions about 2 to 3 hours from being done, otherwise they turn out mushy. I also cut out the extra tspn of salt...really not needed. Aside from that I cut out the garlic powder and used 3 cloves fresh garlic and a 1/2 tspn of ground ginger. This is a keeper...thanks for the recipe.

Buffalo Chicken Wings I

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2008
Good wings...definitely saves money instead of buying them from a wing joint. Be mindful of what hot sauce you use, the wings can be hot, but oh so good!

Mimi's Slumgullion

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2008
I pretty much followed this recipe to a T and it came out great (I added 2 tbspns of garlic)...the recipe calls for 1/4 cup of oil which I would still use for the cooking of the potatoes, but I drained the grease out before letting the dish cool and set in the skillet. Another suggestion is to add the peppers a little later in the cooking process since they got very mushy, but overall this recipe is a 5 ya'll!!!!
