Added some corn starch to thicken it up. Also added about a teaspoon of sherry. Good stuff!

Love this recipe; added about a 1/4 cup more mayo, but that was the only change/addition I made.

Chicken Souvlaki Gyro Style

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2013
This recipe is LEGIT! Turned out much better than expected...as good as any gyro I've had before. So I didn't have any Balsamic Vinagrette so I used the following for my marinade: 1/4 cup olive oil, 2 tbspns lemon juice, 2 tbspns balsamic vinegar, 1 tspn garlic powder, 1 tspn salt, 1/2 tspn pepper, 1/2 tspn each of dried marjoram, thyme, rosemary and oregano. (per lizzy217's recipe from this site) Followed the recipe for the tzatziki sauce as written; it's really good!

Chicken and Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2012
For me, I don't need the bacon, it does add some depth and is a nice finishing touch, but I skip it to avoid the fat. I throw in a bunch of chopped carrots and potatoes to make this a more substantial stew-like meal. Very good!

Beef Bulgogi

Very good, double the marinade so you have extra sauce to soak into the rice. I also added a few very thinly sliced carrots....just my preference.

This was ok, won't be added to the "rotation," but it was a nice change of pace.

Black-Eyed Pea Gumbo

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
Really good, I suggest adding some season all/cajun seasoning to taste and some ham or kielbasa for some more oomph. I only used 3 stalks of celery and I doubled the amount of chicken broth since I used dried beans that I soaked the night before. I just threw everything in the slow cooker and let it go all day, I cooked and added a cup of rice at the very end. A keeper and a new family tradition for new years day....thanks for the recipe!

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
Good flavor, but the best thing about this is how juicy the steaks are after soaking in this marinade.

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana

Excellent, I did wind up adding more potatoes and kale to the soup since I like a chunky stew like soup, but the flavors are right on. Thanks for the recipe!
