Didn't have butterscotch so used 1/2 cup choc. chips and 1/2 cup diced maraschino cherries - well drained. Added 1 Tbls more flour as the cherries are really moist. The football players were looking for more! They all really liked the chocolate-cherry mix.

BBQ Chicken Sandwiches

Increased this to feed 30 football players...instead of sandwiches, browned the chicken in chunks, added the BBQ sauce, simmered 45 mins. We then made wraps using flour tortilla shells. Use wraps NOT refridgerated so they don't split while rolling up. We had so many high-5's and rave reviews from the bus windows that this was the only after game sack lunch that was repeated. The Best! Go Greyhounds!! Thanks for sharing.

Easy Stovetop Peach Cobbler

So easy, my 14 year old son made this. Fantastic, fast and no baking! If you use peaches in heavy syrup, omit the sugar unless you have a big sweet tooth. The cinnamon seems a little much, but could be he did not "sprinkle" but dumped in only a few places. Overall great recipe!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Baked instead of fried, which made the floured coating a bit soggy. Next time will leave the flour off and marinate in the sauce so it does not run all over the pan. Good taste, medium spicy. Enjoyed and shared with others.

Dietetic Banana Nut Muffins

Only had white flour, increased banana to 1-1/4 cups, 1/2 cup chunky applesauce. Entire family liked the taste. Paper liners hard to remove, even after waiting a day. Will use sprayed tins next time. Good enough I'm making another batch for a friend!

Gramma Brown's Corn Chowder

Good, better with 1/2 teaspoon dried basil, 2 cloves crushed garlic and instant potatoes to thicken instead of the flour rue. Add some of the bacon grease for flavor, or browned sausage with or instead of the bacon. Adjust salt accordingly.

Salisbury Steak

New family fav. I use venison burger to lower fat and we had a great hunting season! Definitly double the sauce. Can't find French Onion soup, use cream of onion or cream of mushroom and add a packet of Lipton dry onion soup mix right to the sauce. Sometimes I do half ketchup and half Open Pit BBQ sauce. Optional: add mushrooms, chopped tomatoes, diced green peppers. Very versitile recipe. Our kids don't like texture of steak, but they eat this right up every time. Great gravy on mashed potatoes.

Oven Pancake with Apples

Made as directed. All apples floated to the top and the bottom was "heavy" with the egg batter. No second servings here. Hoped this was a easier way to get the same result from a similar recipe. Using only 3 eggs instead of 6 with sliced apples and make individual thin pancakes fried with a little oil in a pan, sugared and stacked.
