Make-Ahead Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2012
I tried this dish today for our Thanksgiving dinner. It has a LOT of potential to be a great dish, but next time I will definitely cut the cream cheese & sour cream portions by at least half! It was WAY too creamy and cheesy tasting. I'm sure that with some tweaking, it will be a great receipe to have on hand.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
My 14 year old daughter made these cookies all on her own tonight to give as Christmas presents to her friends. They turned out better than we expected and were easy enough for her to make all on her own. I wouldn't change a thing! :D

Slow Cooker Tamale Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
The hubby and I loved this dish! The kids, not so much. Next time, I would definitely double this recipe and be sure to eat it soon after it's completed, as it tends to get dry after awhile. Thanks for a quick, easy and tasty recipe!

Grandma's Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
This dish is very easy to make and super delicious! My whole family (kids included) thoroughly enjoyed it. I only made 2 minor changes. 1) I used 2 cans creamed corn and 1 can whole kernel corn for extra crunch. 2) I would add the bacon towards the end to keep it from getting soggy. YUMMY!!!!

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
This was a very good dish and easy to make. It was super sweet, though, so I it seemed more like a dessert type dish. My husband gobbled it up!

Easy Chicken Fajita Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2009
WOW! This dish was delicious AND easy! I followed the directions exactly and was so pleased with how it turned out. The entire family, including my two daughters, devoured this soup. I fried up some corn tortilla strips as a nice, finishing touch. Think I'll try adding some fresh cilantro next time. YUMMO!!! :-)

Spaghetti Carbonara II

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2008
This recipe was delicious and the WHOLE family loved it (even the picky 10 year old)! The flavors were amazing and you just can't go wrong with eggs, bacon, cheese and pasta! The only small negative was that it was a little dry, so I might use another reviewer's suggestion of adding a bit of heavy cream to moisten it more. Otherwise this dish was a HUGE hit in our household and I will most definitely make it again and SOON! Thank You!

Simple Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2008
I made this dish for the family last night and they loved it! It was super easy to make, I had all the ingredients on hand and it tasted pretty good. It's a poor man's version of beef stroganoff, but it's a quick, easy and inexpensive meal that will please the whole family! THANKS!

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2008
These were such a HUGE hit at my party last night! They are super easy to make and only required THREE ingredients! The brown sugar added a nice flavor and glaze to the smokies. The only thing I would change is to make a double batch next time, because they got snapped up so quickly!

Di's Delicious Deluxe Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2008
These tasted fine, but it took some getting used to the crunch of the celery and onion in the yolk mixture. The splash of hot sauce was a nice touch, though.

Roasted Vegetables

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2007
Yummy!! I made a roast in the crockpot and didn't want crockpot mushy vegetables. These were so crisp and tasty. I used Idaho potatoes, yams, yellow onion, green bell pepper, carrots and fresh garlic. It turned out so delicious, my whole family went back for seconds!
