It was DELICIOUS! My husband cooked our pork roast in the crock pot and added lots of veggies. Yummy!

Pickle Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2011
I make this also and have the same result when I bring it to get-togethers! I make mine slightly differently. I use Hormel dried beef (found near spam) instead of ham, jalapeno-flavored pickles instead of plain ones, and I mix in a can of drained chili's (found with taco kits) and shredded mild cheddar cheese in with the cream cheese before spreading it.

Valentine Meatballs

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2007
Good and easy recipe! I made spaghetti and meatballs for Valentine's Day. My boyfriend LOVED it! Next time, I might follow another recipe and mix ground pork in too (the fat from the pork makes them more juicy)!

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2011
My husband and I grilled shrimp for the first time last night and we used this recipe. We both absolutely loved it, which speaks volumes for my husband as he isn't a huge shrimp fan! In my opinion, this made the shrimp taste like shrimp you'd eat in a restaurant! We will definitely be using this recipe again and recommending it to our friends!

Chicken Zucchini Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
Excellent!!! Next time I think I'm going to mix the cream of chicken soup with the sour cream real well before I add it to the mixture! Also, be sure to use a pretty large bowl to mix all the ingredients in!!! My husband and his friend loved the recipe!

Mom's Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2010
I only had the powder to make buttermilk, so I just used milk. They turned out SUPER fluffy and very delicious! I also added semi-sweet chocolate chips and bananas (cut in slices and then quartered). This is my FAVORITE breakfast!!! Yummy!

Microwave Oven Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
I just made two batches with this recipe and they both turned out great! I was worried since it was my first time making peanut brittle, but this recipe was pretty easy to follow. It was kinda messy and hard to clean, but they're definitely worth it!

Pretzel Turtles

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
I JUST made these and boy did they turn out great!!! I used Rolos (bc they are my Mom and I's fav chocolate candy) and the non-square mini pretzels. I places them on wax paper, since I didn't have any parchment paper on hand and it worked out fine. Also, 3 minutes was plenty of time for the chocolate to get soft! These are definitely going to become a regular at my house!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2010
I've made several batches of these cookies and everyone absolutely loves them! To make them a little more festive for Christmas, I substituted red and green M&M's for the chocolate chips. My husband really likes how they're light and fluffy and I like how they're super chocolaty :)

Good Ol' Alabama Sweet Tea

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2007
I'm a North Carolinian myself, and boy do I LOVE my sweet tea! This person definitely suceeded in making sweet tea seem more complicated than it really is! I throw two Lipton family-sized tea packets in water, let it boil for about five minutes or so, and then pour it in a pitcher. I only add 1.5 cups (true sweet tea is probably around 2 cups) to the pitcher and stir, adding some cold water. When you fill it up, throw it in the fridge and you're done! My bf is from South Dakota and he can't get enough of sweet tea!

Caramelized Brussels Sprouts with Pistachios

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
Great base recipe! I altered it by using sweet onions instead of red onions, balsamic vinegar instead of red wine vinegar, and brown sugar instead of white sugar. As the other reviews suggested, be sure to chop off the stems and instead of coursely chopping the sprouts, I just halved them all. I don't have a steamer, so I just added two tablespoons of water in a pot with the sprouts set at just a little below medium to steam them (with the lid on until they were slightly tender), before sautéing them. These alterations worked out great for me! Will definitely make them again!

Savory Garlic Marinated Steaks

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
Just used this recipe tonight! We usually marinate everything in a teriyaki sauce, and tonight I decided to try something different bc it was my husband's birthday. This marinade is A-MAZ-ING!!! Both my husband and I absolutely loved it! We marinated it for only 30 minutes on kinda thin (1 inch thick) top sirloins, and it turned out great.

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
My husband absolutely loves this recipe! Hint: using a mandolin for the potatoes is a huge time-saver! I used this recipe to enter a fund-raising soup competition at school (it was called "Souper-Bowl," isn't that cute?) and won first place! I guess you can now literally call this a "prize-winning" recipe!

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2010
This was my first time EVER baking any sort of bread and it turned out fabulous! I made these for a family Christmas gathering, and even though my husband had bought some dinner rolls from the grocery store (for back-up, just in case they didn't turn out tasty), everyone chose my rolls over the grocery store ones! I also had a lot of fun rolling the dough into balls with my mother :)

Easy Cheese Ball II

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
I made this for a Christmas party and all my guests loved it! I bought a small "festive" bowl to place the cheese ball in, so this recipe ended up yielding two small balls instead of one large ball for me! Yummy!

Awesome and easy recipe! I changed up the sauce a little and added some worcestershire sauce to the hamburger, but overall a really good recipe!
