About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I like trying new recipes, along with perfecting my usual favourites. I know I've got a winner when I get rave reviews from family and friends on my cooking/baking!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Anything that my mom (or dad) cooked or baked growing up.
My cooking tragedies
Tried to make a pecan pie where it said to add the beaten eggs to the hot mixture...well, you can see where that went. Yum...curdled egg pie. It was gross. I have learned a lot since then.

Sugar Coated Pecans
1/4 tsp salt, 1 tsp cinnamon (or a Tad more), 3 tbs egg white, 1 tbs water. Great!

Triple Dipped Fried Chicken
Nice and crispy, but the coating was bland. Would add more seasonings/salt/pepper/different ones as well? I made a half batch.

Caramel Popcorn
Made a half batch in my roaster, used .33c butter for the half-batch, based on other reviews on cutting it down. Tasted.....well-cooked, almost burnt? Maybe need to bake less. Will have to change something, as I was not wowed.
