Creamy Pesto Shrimp

between it was okay and i liked it... you need to add so much garlic or its just plain bland... but maybe thats the way its suppose to taste.. Its probably once a year i have a craving for pesto something but always end up disappointed... then i remember why i never like it... oh and I used half and half... just a smart way to go

Beef and Cabbage Stew

something so easy my boyfriend went crazy over... every bite literally said wow... i don't get it... it was like the easiest recipe... time consuming but easy and he was totally having his moment with this meal.. and i spend so much time on exotic recipes... geez i'll make this one again. I left out the tomato sauce because i didnt wanna keep digging in the cupboard

Pan Pierogies

UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH what a putzy business... and The guilt while making them is horrible hahaha ... I didn't try any because of it has all my worst enemies in it and I said no to temptation. they were just so messy and greasy and my boyfriend said why didn't you make the normal pieorge. I wanted to clobber him! :)

Belle and Chron's Spinach and Mushroom Quiche

Excellent. I used the Quick N Easy Quiche Crust recipe from food.com because I make all my crusts homemade. They just taste better and that one had olive oil in it . It was great. I made this for a bunch of loggers along with the Ham and cheese Quiche from allrecipes posted by Judy L Bishop. It was perfect. they were soooo happy my man said when he got home from work

all the loggers loved this ... I made this quiche with cubed ham because thats what I wanted to use up. I also mixed all the ingredients by accident and it was just fine, but I left out the mushrooms (sadly on purpose) :( Also Made the Belle and Chron's Spinach and Mushroom Quiche from all recipes at the same time. The guys really liked this one probably becfause the other one had mushrooms. and i'm obsessed with mushrooms in everything

Venison-Bacon White Chili

yikes pretty darn spicy. I used venison bacon only that couldve had some effect on the spice. my boyfriend ate the whole pot that night. said wow i just can't stop eating it even though its so spicy... i also left out the last of the salt because of the veni bacon... Thank God i did This will be a regular thing we'll be making! I'll just have to double the recipe next time and have lots of fun chopping allllllll those garlic cloves :)

Classic Rice Pilaf

I needed this for a base recipe... trying to replicate the rice pilaf we had as a side at Holiday Acres Resort in Rhinelander wisconsin. I use to be a waitress there and I would mow down on this with fresh squeezed lemon when i'd get hungry.... So to make this more like holiday acres from the recipe i remember , I added chopped celery along with the onions to the butter and olive oil. I added Thyme to the broth while boiling it... I use threw two whole sprigs in there. It was nice to use them from Thanksgiving... and they still look pretty good... just a little dried up. I'm using a slow cooker because I need the oven for the fish I'm going to make tonight. So far its smelling pretty good. I am having a hard time rating this because of the changes i've made... I couldn't find any other rice pilaf with celery added to it. I Guess i can't post this "review" without rating it.. I use my reviews for references when i come back to make the recipe again...

Cranberry Orange Cookies

high five. i added 2 tsps orange zest because of how much i zested i didn't wanna throw away the extras. I noticed when i cut the cranberries in half i put the inside facing out and they look like little flowers, rub some of the cookie dough in them it looks pretty cool

The Ultimate Burger Topping

I made this two night in a row upon request... I also made haystack onion rings (thin sliced onions rings (french fried onions)) for my boyfriend's burger also ... because he loves onions. I didn't have bleu cheese which i was bummed about so i subbed feta and it was awesome... I can't wait to try it with Bleu cheese next time... WHICH WILL BE A WHILE... I think we consumed enough calories for a few days

Perfect Sesame Chicken

I just didn't care for this recipe. Personal taste I guess. The sauce reminded me too much of something that would come from the freezer at the store. So I guess it was too much work to have freezer taste. My boyfriend loved it but he likes a certain brand of stir fry "schezwan", maybe by green giant? Anyway that is what i can compare it to. To keep him happy i;d much rather buy it in the frozen food department and have him make it when i'm not home

I subbed out vodka for white wine because i didn't wanna go buy it. and i put cajun seasoning on the chicken before baking while i was sauteeing it in half olive oil half butter. It was amazing. I wanted to tweek it because of the reviews

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

i cut the cream cheese in half just because for the amount of mushrooms i had i knew i'd waste it. But i left the same measurment of spices. Which i definitely should've thought to cut the cayenne in half! hahaha . Got "rave" reviews they were gone in about 7 minutes after coming out the the oven. I was going to make more but didn't wanna rush to the store on thanksgiving day for mushrooms ;) plus i was just testing it on people. Now i know i will have to make them every holiday with this group. But I'll have to pick up a bunch more. A lot of people were saying add crab. I can't stand Canned crab. Only fresh king. so thats the only way I'd add the crab. they are great without it. Thanks for the recipe. OH and when i read pepper. I automatically added the same in salt, not realizing the recipe didn't call for it
