Beef Barley Soup

my best friend since we were 12 (we're in our early 60's now) came to visit, for a treat i got a prime rib (supposedly), the meat was horrid, but, made in this soup, was a wonderful addition. thx for the great recipe, you salvaged my "good cook" reputation, cindy
