Whoopie Pies

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2007
These are very yummy! I wish I had read the reviews first because the cake part of my pies came out completely flat. Next time I'll add the pudding.

Easy Quiche

Very easy recipe that came out GREAT! I completely forgot to add the butter and it still tasted perfect. Definitely an addition to my recipe binder.

Almond Maple Granola

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2007
Very good flavor. I could always use more maple syrup though - I live in New England! We add it to vanilla yogurt or ice cream now.

Carrot Cake IV

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2007
Excellent flavor - it got rave reviews at our Easter dinner. I did use my mini food processor on the pineapple as suggested (picky pineapple eaters couldn't taste it!). The cake was still very crumbly.

Grandma's Chocolate Pudding

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2007
Very yummy. Hubby is a pudding eater (usually the instant box kind) and was very impressed. Mine thickened up very well - almost too much, but I think I went a little heavy on the flour.

No Bake Cookies V

Easy and SO VERY YUMMY!! These rarely last 24 hours in my house. I swear the neighbors smell me "not baking" them and come running.

I prepared this recipe as called for and they wasn't anything left to put in the frig. Very, very good!

Chicken and Biscuit Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2007
The recipe for the chicken-mixture is very good! Great flavor with all the veggies. I used leftover grilled chicken that was marinated in Itailian dressing. I used my own biscuit recipe.

Black Bean Soft Tacos

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2007
A huge hit with our family! I also used the canned diced tomatoes with chilis - one step easier.

Pumpkin Cookies V

Yummy cake-like cookies. I put in a little extra cinnamon in and I think next time I will use the specified amount. Loved the frosting too.

Old-Fashioned Chicken and Noodles

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2007
We LOVED this recipe. The "noodles" were terrific. I used chicken breast because that's what was in the frig!

Best Cream Of Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2007
Very good and easy. My husband thought something was missing but could't put his finger on it. It needs just a touch of some herb ....but I'm not sure which one!

Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2008
I thought these brownies were delicious. Chocolately, moist, perfect brownie-like texture with the added health bonus of zuchinni! The frosting is very sweet, so next time I will make a 1/2 batch and drizzle on top of brownies. Definitely our new brownie recipe. Thanks!

Yummy Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2008
Fabulous! This dip disappeared at our Christmas party and several guests went home with the recipe. I didn't have the green chilis,so I omitted them, but it certainly didn't hurt the flavor! I've tried dozen of other artichoke dip recipes and will only use this one from now on.

Eggnog Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2008
My cake come out very dry and crumbly - I'm wondering if I made a mistake somewhere ... Maybe beating for 2 minutes is too long? I took one reviewer's suggestion and made the glaze with Butterscotch Snapps and it was great.

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

I made this recipe for the first time for a large football party tonight. Several attendees won't ever touch cottage cheese and they LOVED this recipe!! Super cheesy tasting. Creamy but not runny. PERFECT!

Tantalizingly Tangy Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2008
I made it a point to let my husband comment about the meatloaf - completely unprompted. He loved it! I've been making a different meatloaf for years with tons of ingredients, but this simple, 5 ingredient base was tasty and dense. (I think I overcooked it just a bit because it was slightly dry.) The sauce ... YUMMY! I had to puree pineapple chunks but it was still super tasty.

These potatoes were OK. I think I just prefer brown sugar for a sweetener on my sweet potatoes.

Frosted Banana Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2008
Very moist and tasty. I had to use a 13x9 pan at 30 minutes, but they just come out taller! They smelled so good baking, that we couldn't wait to eat them. I don't recommend frosting them before the cake/bars cool completely - frosting melts and runs. My new recipe for bananas gone by!

Chris' Bay Area Burger

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2008
The olive oil makes these burgers juicy! I used the amount of basil the recipe called for and it was a bit strong - maybe I'll use a little less next time.
