My cooking tragedies
I was making gazpacho in my blender, but the bottom wasn't screwed on all the way- when I picked up the pitcher from the base, the bottom came off and gazpacho splashed EVERYWHERE! My whole kitchen was pink!

Ann's Sister's Meatloaf Recipe
I've been looking for the perfect meatloaf recipe, and this is it! DH gave it rave reviews as well. Like almost everyone else, I left out the MSG. Instead, I subbed 1/2 tsp. steak seasoning mix. Also, instead of the bacon and tomato sauce on top, I made crisscrosses with drizzled ketchup and mustard, like my mother used to do. SO delicious.

Slow Cooker Calico Bean Soup
I just finished making this - wonderful! The spice mixture is perfect to perk up the beans. I didn't have any meat on the bone to use, so I just used two chicken breasts, using half the spices as a rub for the meat before browning the chicken in a little olive oil on the stovetop. Delicious!

Beer Lime Grilled Chicken
It was pouring rain outside, so I decided to bake the chicken in a glass dish, soaking in about a quarter-inch of the marinade at the bottom. I sprinkled some paprika on top for a little color- it turned out GREAT! Very flavorful and moist. A good way to dress up baked chicken breast.
