This was a great loaf, but the topping is much too sweet as is. I had 2 lbs of meat, so I increased everything else in the loaf proportionally (I used 3 eggs). I didn't have crumbs, so I used oatmeal, and I used fried onions because I had them already. I baked them as 8 individual loaves (45 min) and 1 larger loaf (1 hr), and they were so soft and moist, just marvelous! I don't keep ketchup in the house, though, so I used a small can of tomato paste and added onion powder and 1/4 c. sugar. It was so sweet, I had to cut it with another can. I know this has sugar in the title, but when I made it the first time (I think with no changes to the sugar), I couldn't stomach the sweetness of the topping.
