Black Beans and Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2013
My DH and thought this was just ok. It was easy to prepare. I always try the recipe as written when rating, as I did this time. If I try this again I will add some jalepenos and some cumin. We like our dishes on the spicy side, and this was lacking.

Easy and Delicious Mexican Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2013
This turned out just OK. I halved the recipe, but used a whole green pepper. I also added onions and a sliced jalepeno pepper. The pork chop seemed dry to me. I am giving it four stars because of the ease of preparation, which was simple and with ingredients that are usually on hand.

Fiesta Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2012
When I make a recipe for the first time, I always follow as it is written. I thought this was pretty good as written, hense giving it four stars. It was very easy to prepare! I did end up adding more salsa, and water, because I thought it was a little dry. Next time I plan on adding some cumin and a can of green chiles, as I think it still needed something. I did use the Medium Pace, and might use hot next time as my husband and I like things spicy.

Reviewed: May 5, 2012
Loved it! The one thing I did different to the recipe was steamed my broccoli instead of boiling it. My hubby said it was a keeper recipe.

Andy's Spicy Green Chile Pork

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2011
This was very easy to prepare and turned out great. I did use 3 serrano chile peppers, because we do like it spicy. I served it with homemade corn tortillas and guacamole. This recipe is a keeper.

Italian Dressing Mix

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2011
This turned out great! The only difference is I halfed the salt and left out the pepper since I react to pepper. Next time I will double this as in two weeks we went through the mix. I mainly used it as a dressing and marinade. It is so easy to prepare, and is best after the it sits for a bit to meld the flavors.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2010
this turned out excellent. I only had about 2 1/2 pounds of roast, so I used one can of mushroom soup and about 3/4 water and one package of beef onion soup mix. My husband even thought this was a keeper. Just using half the receipe we ate well and still have enough for a second meal.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2010
I have made this recipe several tiimes, and thought it was ok. This time I made it with the chicken broth instead of beer, and used frozen corn since it was what I had on hand. I think it turned out much better with the broth, even my husband thought so. It is an easy recipe, as I can throw it together in the morning, and have a nice hot meal when we get home.

Fiesta Pinwheels

This was a hit when I took to a recent get together. My man said they were the best he had ever had, his aunts are to dry, but these didn't need the salsa to dip them in.

Amy's Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2009
These burgers were just ok. I was really looking forward to trying these, too. They were a bit on the dry side. My boyfriend and I like spicy, and these were ok. If I decide to make again, I will go with the suggestions of adding hot sauce and worcestershire for the moisture.

This were very good. I substituted minced garlic, for the onion flakes and only used one egg. I will probably cut some of the butter next time.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2009
I was trying to find a different meatloaf recipe, this one was ok but I thought was missing something. I think a glaze would have helped it. I did like the cheese, which I have never put in meatloaf before. I did use 93/7 ground beef and there was no fat. My boyfriend said he liked it, but if I make it again I will add chopped onion and something else.

Real New Orleans Style BBQ Shrimp

This was great. I did follow other reviews and didn't use as much butter, and used more creole seasoning. My boyfriend loved it. I paired it with garlic mashed potatoes, and steamed asparagus. Yummy.
