World's Best Pasta Sauce!

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2008
This was a good base recipe for the kind of sauce I was looking for. I made the following changes: used ground turkey and hot turkey italian sausage. I also sauteed some onion, bell pepper and garlic and threw that into the crock pot with all the tomato stuff and seasonings. After that I added some ground turkey that I had slightly cooked with salt, pepper, italian seasoning and red pepper flakes. I also added in the sausage after cooking that and removing the skins (i'm picky about my meat). I let it sit in the crock pot on LOW LOW LOW for about 4 hours until we were ready to eat it. It was reaaaaalllllly good and I will definitely be making again. The BF said it was the best (ok..ok..albeit..only) homemade spaghetti sauce he's ever had :P

MMMMM... Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2008
Using semi-sweet chips is key! I tried dark chocolate and it just didn't come out the same. For even extra richness I made some peanut butter topping by putting about 1/2 c. into a bowl and microwaving until soft and pliable. I then added 2 tbsp. of powdered sugar, for texture after done baking. SOOOO good and rich and moist and and and.... You will definitely need a cup of milk for those.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2008
Best cookies, ever! I sift half the flour mixture and just throw the rest in. Im very heavy on the vanilla and salt. I decreased the amount of chips used since first making them and everyone seems to enjoy them more that way. I have tried several varations with the favorite being all peanut butter chips- this was sooooooo good. Tasted better than a peanut butter cookie. I always take them out right at the 15 minutes and let them cool almost completely (until they can be transfered by hand) on the cookie sheet before removing and placing on cooling racks to cool all the way. Such an easy recipe too!

Parmesan Knots

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2008
Chopped about 2 cloves of garlic and tossed in a small bowl with about 2 tblsp. butter, threw that in the microwave for 30 seconds or so... Added some parm and garlic & herb seasoning and brushed on top as soon as they came out of the oven. So quick, easy and most importantly DELICIOUS!
