Sugar-Free Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2008
This is a good recipe. I used whipping cream and whipped myself because the lite still has some sugar in it. Great taste

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
This was a good recipe but not great. It was more pumpkin pie than what I consider a good cheesecake. If you like no-bake cheesecakes and ones that whip up real easy, this is something for you however, if you're like me and want the baked more New York tasting cheesecake this is not it. For what it is, it is good though.

Jam Filled Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2008
I make this recipe each year for Christmas and it is always one of the prettiest on the tray. I have tried them with several different preserves and it is always yummy. Raspberry, strawberry and blueberry were the best. I am always sure to get the seedless preserves and NEVER jelly. I found out the hard way a few years back that the jelly will melt and run out of the cookies.

Eggnog Quick Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2008
This is such an easy recipe for such a yummy bread. The last time I made it, I was out of rum extract so I just left it out and used more vanilla and it was still just as good. This is one of those recipes you would have to work hard at to mess up because, it comes out good each time.

No Bake Cookies III

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2008
These are really good cookies. I have made tehm many times but have found they turn out a little better for me if I made a few adjustments. I use 2 TBsp. cocoa instead of 3. I leave the salt out and up the peanut butter to 2/3 cup, I let boil for 2 minutes stirring constantly. The adjustments makes them a bit thicker for me so they hold together better and everyone seems to like the taste more. These are a family fav here.

Potato Candy

This is a great recipe for potato candy! I used more sugar as many reviewers did but the candy turned out wonderful! I made it for a Christmas gathering at my place and it was one of the first things gone.

Pineapple Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
Wonderful stuffing. It's stuffing with the flavor of a pineapple upside down cake. I made this for a Christmas dinner yesterday and EVERYONE at the table commented on how good it was and ask for the recipe. The only thing I did differently is I cooked it a little longer than suggested and I only used 3/4 c sugar. It was delicious.

Cracked Sugar Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2007
I have made these a few times in the past month and they are fabulous every time. I pressed them down once with a fork and they came out flat and reminded me of the ones you get at Subway (which I love). They melt in your mouth. The crisp edges and gooey middle is delightful.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2007
These do have a really good taste but mine didn't look right. I am normally pretty exact with measurements so I am not sure what happened but they went from balls to puffy cake like cookies. Maybe I should have pressed them down before baking. They do taste good but not one of the best I've made..

Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2007
This is our new favorite cookie! These are wonderful. The only thing I did different was I completely covered the cherry in chocolate. They are so good I might make another batch before the holidays because these won't last.

Cherry Snowballs

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2007
I made these yesterday and they are pretty good. I think they could be great and will try them different ways in weeks to come. I used a bit to much dough on mine so they were the size of hush-puppies which made them take a long time to cook through. The coconut browned more than I would have like. Smaller ones would definitely be better so I will go much smaller next time. I also like a sweet cookie and these had a biscuit like taste. I would up the sugar. Overall a good recipe. I will make again..

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2007
I have been making this version for yearsand it is one of my favorites. It is super easy. I can whip up a batch of theses cookies for my family in minutes. I would give it six stars if I could. Everyone loves them and when they ask for the recipe can't believe there is no flour in them. Try them once and it is hard to go back to any other peanut butter cookie..

Deep Dish Brownies

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2007
I love these brownies IF I cook them for a shorter amount of time. If I leave them in the oven for the whole time they are dry and very cake like. If you take them out early they seem to continue to cook on their own enough to be wonderful. They were also better when I tried taking one egg out of the recipe and adding about 1/4 cup more butter. There is just a fine line between awesume brownies and dry brownies so you really need to watch.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2007
These are wonderful and so easy to make. I don't know that you can even mess them up if you try. I cooked some for too long and thought they would be dry but again perfect. I also added too much sugar the first time I made them by putting the topping sugar in the mix and still Yummy.. I will make these at least once a month now, my family went crazy over them..
