Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2013
I never liked ham. My husband requested it. I tried this out and I LOVE it. Really good recipe! Only thing I didn't have corn syrup so I used light brown sugar. I also used a turkey baster to glaze the ham. Great recipe thanks for sharing!

Coquito

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2013
So good! I cooked the egg yolks and milk in a sauce pan on the stove and it worked fine. I also tasted it before adding the condensed milk like a reviewer suggested and it was too watery. After adding the condensed milk it was PERFECT. My husband loved it and for Christmas I will definitely be making A LOT more to share because I really dont want to part with the batch I made. I also added a little more rum. Like Brandy said the rum is supposed to be added "to taste". GREAT recipe thank you for sharing!!

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2013
Yummy! Although I did tweak the recipe slightly. I cooked the pumpkin puree with spices on the stove and slowly added some light brown sugar until I was able to get rid of most of the bitter taste of the canned pumpkin. After I let the spiced puree cool then I added all the other ingredients. Also instead of using 2 eggs I added 1 whole egg and 3 egg yolks. Last time I cooked this pie I had a crack this time there were no cracks after cooling.

Cranberry Hootycreeks

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2008
Wow these are really really good. Made a test batch last night to taste them and they were gret. Neverreally ventured out of choco chip cookies so I was a little scared but these were yummy. I followed the advice of a reviewer and blended the sugar w/ butter before adding the egg and everythiing else. They came out perfect but I did have to cook them alittle longer then suggested. I will be putting the sugar in a small bag at top of the jar and recommending the butter be blended w/ sugar before adding egg and everything else. GREAT recipe you all have to try it! BTW I used swirled choc chips with white choco and semi-sweet.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2008
Five stars these these cookies are PERFECT if you like chocolate chip. I;m not a big choco chip fan but I made these for the Marines in my husbands unit. I used the advice to add 2 Tablespoons Vanilla, 2teaspoons baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt. I also used the suggestion of placing cookies at second to bottom rack with an empty cookie sheet underneath. I didnt have any parchment paper. This method did result in an increase in cooking time but the cookies came out PERFECT. Nicely brown all around opposed to just brown on the bottom. I did chill the dough in the freezer between batches and this made it very easy to handle. I spooned the dough with my teaspoon measuring spoon and rolled them into balls. I also tried using a tablespoon. I found a tablespoon made bigger cookies That took a lot longer to cook. These cookies are very rich and sweet and a teaspoon sized ball makes the most beautiful cookie that is the perfect snack size. If you cook them until they are lightly browned all around they are slightly crispy on the outside and very soft and chewy on the inside. You DEFINITELY need a tall glass of milk with these...they remind me of a popular soft brand of cookies. I feel bad for those Marines because they have no way of keeping milk from spoiling out in the field, otherwise I would of sent some with the cookies...oops. Thanks for sharin

This chicken was very easy to make and tasted perfect. I seasoned my chicken with adobo...(I use it on every meat). The chicken was very moist inside with a perfect BBQ glaze.

Perfect Baked Potato

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2008
These are PERFECT. I made these tonight and loved them..so did the kids. I used coarse GARLIC SALT instead of plain salt and it gave the skins nice flavor. I also raised the temp to 350. These had nice and crispy skins, with a soft and fluffy center. I will surely be making baked potatoes more often. Thanks for sharing this method with us.

I love a good egg salad sandwhich. This recipe hits the spot with not too much mustard. I did add dill weed after reading other reviews and I added a pinch of cayenne because I cant live without it. Thanks for sharing this recipe. My kids loved these sandwhiches too.

Roasted Cajun Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2008
good recipie. I added parmesan chesse and discovered that 45 minutes in the oven was a little too long. These were done in about 30 minutes. I also sprinkled some of the spices over the wedges after tossing them in the oil mixtre. Hubby enjoyed them.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2008
These are great! My husband and I loved them. The only complaint was from my husbad who complained that the sauce was too thin. He is a tough critic...I had no proble with the sauce. We used Franks buffalo wing sauce. Next time I may add some cayenne to the sauce because I prefer really hot wings.

Green Beans with Cherry Tomatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2008
Wow!! This recipe is great!! I used fresh garlic instead garlic powder. And added a pinch more basil. I watched to make sure the tomatoes didn't overcook. Next time I will cook the beans a little longer only because I prefer them a little softer. But I was impressed...got my little ones to eat them. :)

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2008
The pork chops were good but they were too dry after an hour in the oven. The sauce tasted too much like cream of mushroom but that may be because I passed on the wine due to my pregnancy. However, the sauce was good on our mashed potatoes. Next time I will remove the chops from the oven earlier and try another sauce. Thanks for sharing.

This roast was great!! I couldnt stop picking at it while it cooked!! I added 1 packet of sazon, vinegar and adobe to the marinade. And I let the flavors marinate over night. Also when I cooked it I added half a can of chicken broth to the pan so it will stay juicy.

Italian Style Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2007
We made this last night and it was great. The only thing I did differently was I added the spices to the meat and let it marinate in the fridge for a few hours. I also added some Italian sausage. I forgot to add the ketchup but it still came out good. Very greasey I had to drain the grease halfway though. Next time I will try placing bread at the the bottom of the pan to soak of the grease.
