Cinnamon Coffee Cake II

Reviewed: May 17, 2010
I have made this cake twice 100% according to the recipe. I have gotten very good feedback from my family but I think it would be slightly better if you used less oil. I would recommend 1/4 cup butter and a 1/4 cup oil instead of the 1 cup oil this recipes call for. I will br trying it that way the next time and will report back. :)

The Whole Jar of Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2009
These were very chewy as promised (and stayed chewy for 3+ days) but not the best peanut butter cookie I've ever had.

Barbecued Alaskan Salmon

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2009
Very good recipe. I followed the recipe exactly as described. It tasted excellent by itself and on the salmon. Would recommend for someone who wants a quick way to jazz up their Salmon without the length of time a marinade requires

After-Thanksgiving Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2009
I made this soup exactly as the recipe called for with the exception of 1/2 the Flour and Butter based on the other reviewers recommendations. I agree that 1/2 the Butter was a good suggestion. A whole cup of butter would have been far too much. I actually think you could reduce the butter even more and the recipe would be fine. Based on following all other instructions my soup was VERY watery and bland. In order to improve the recipe I ended up adding 1 heaping tablespoon of corn starch to thicken, FOUR tablespoons of Chicken Boullion granules, One Teaspoon of Garlic Powder and 1/2 teaspoon of Onion Powder. I used Egg Noodles instead of Rice. After I added the extra spices and corn starch I think the soup turned out very well. My step-kids who are very picky eaters really liked the soup!
