Amazing Pecan Coffee Cake

This is amazing coffee cake. I followed the recipe exactly (except for the foil thing...really not necessary). It is moist and crumbly and delicious.

Terrific! The only thing I did differently was work softened butter into the pecan & sugar mix, which made it nice and crumbly. It was a little too sweet for my husband, who's picky that way, but everyone else loved it. Will certainly make this again.

Pork Chops with Pears

This was really delicious. I was running behind so instead of baking the chops I browned them, then poured the sauce over and cooked with the lid on for about 20 minutes, adding the pears in toward the end just to warm them. Really tasty.

Makhani Chicken (Indian Butter Chicken)

Oh my gosh. This is a fantastic dish. Despite the tons of ingredients it is really pretty easy to prepare. The chicken is so tender and the sauce is full of rich flavors. It doesn't have a lot of heat, which made it a hit with my child. I was a little afraid she wouldn't like it because she doesn't like curry but this has different flavors altogether and she really enjoyed it. This is going to be a regular feature in the family menu.

Roasted Grapes and Carrots

This is a fantastic side dish. The combination sounded so weird that I just had to try it but it turned out beautifully. I too did a quick pre-cook on the carrots and everything roasted to a nice doneness. It tastes delicious and is quite beautiful to look at, too. Will certainly make this again.

Blue Cheese Potatoes Delmonico

Very good. The flavor of the bleu cheese wasn't as prominent as I would have liked but that could have been the variety I used. I had some emmantaler and added that with some salt and that brought up the flavors. The final product was a hit.

Green Beans with Hazelnuts and Lemon

I have made similar recipes before and honestly don't know why this one was so much better but it was! Great balance of flavors. Frozen beans work just as well as fresh.

Artichoke Hearts au Gratin

This was a simple, flavorful side dish. Instead of Italian dressing I used marinated artichoke hearts and just added a little salt before the first baking.

Moroccan Lamb with Shiraz Honey Sauce

This is officially my favorite Lamb Dish of All Time. The ras el-hanout added spectacular flavor and the sauce was a silky pot of yum. I'm always thrilled to find a recipe that delivers this much flavor for so little effort.
