Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2015
This recipe was awesome! I used Heinz's Balsamic Ketchup and added some red pepper flakes but think that it would still taste pretty good as-is.

Coconut Macaroons III

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2015
These taste pretty good but perhaps a bit plain for me. I do have a process tip though: first combine the liquid ingredients and the flour to make a smooth paste. Only then should you add the coconut. This will let you simply focus on coating the coconut rather than trying to mix everything at once.

Oatmeal Chocolate Coconut Chewy

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2014
I am a very amateur dessert baker but these turned out very well and were delicious. I had better luck with the ones baked on an air-bake cookie sheet rather than single layer.

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
The orange juice is a great idea, my family loved it today. I'd like to add that you need to cook the sauce until all the berries pop, not just until they start popping. Otherwise it'll be too soupy as not all of the thickening goodness will escape from the fruit.

Egg Roll Wrappers

Make sure your batter is fairly thin! Don't use the given proportions verbatim but rather use your judgment to make sure they'll flow out so that they wind up nice and thin. Otherwise you'll wind up with little pancakes.

Parmesan Chicken II

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2008
Such a simple recipe and so good. I baked my chicken on wire racks to keep the skin crispy all around. Also, I added a tsp of garlic powder and of another garlic/oregano blend. The bite from the black pepper was still the best part though!

Mexican Rice II

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2008
Simple and makes for a good side or an addition to a burrito. Don't worry about the rice puffing up in the first step, it'll soak up plenty of liquid after the broth is added. In fact don't be afraid to add some more water or broth during the simmer if you find it's all been absorbed and the rice is still a bit chewy.

Cranberry Rice Pilaf

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2007
Nice blend of sweet and tart. I added some cinnamon and nutmeg to jazz it up a bit.

Grandma's Sloppy Joes

Classic sloppy joe flavor, the cloves are noticably enjoyable - not overpowering.
