Cauliflower Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2013
The taste was good, but the texture was not. It didn't get brown on the bottom and was a bit mushy. Too much trouble for just an average outcome. I cooked the cauliflower in the microwave for 5-6 minutes. Then I baked it for about 20 minutes. Other than that, I followed the recipe.

INCREDIBLE Raspberry Cheesecake Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2011
My son made these in our annual Cookie Bakeoff. I didn't find the raspberry chips locally, so I bought about 5 different kinds of baking chips for him to choose from. He chose the Andes Peppermint crunch baking chips. Well, the judges chose his cookies as the winner. Delicious!!

These are so delicious. I wanted to eat them all. I used apples that I canned from last fall and it turned out perfect.

Rhubarb Dream Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2010
These bars are very tasty. Next time I will cook the crust a shorter amount of time at beginning. When I added the filling and baked, the crust got too dark when the filling got done. It isn't the prettiest looking dessert either, so that is why I put whipped topping on it.

Bacon Ranch Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2010
This recipe tastes great but is too stiff for softer crackers. I added some sour cream to make it a little softer. I also added some jalepeno peppers.

Perfectly Simple Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2010
The crust in the recipe was not impressive. It stuck to the foil. I recommend that you use the regular graham cracker crust. The filling tasted great and was so easy to mix in my smoothie machine. I did have to bake it at least 15 extra minutes after adding the sour cream layer. I will be searching for a different recipe.

Old-Fashioned Strawberry Shortcake

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2010
Mine didn't turn out good. It burned on the bottom and I didn't think it was sweet enough.

I loved it. I followed the recipe and added some fresh mushrooms and asparagus and some cheyenne pepper. I was in a hurry, so I had to bake it in the oven. My husband loved it too.

Pineapple Cheesecake Squares

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2010
I love this cheesecake. I used chopped walnuts the first time and chopped almonds the 2nd time....both were great. I reduced the flour a little the 2nd time that I made it. I also used Cool Whip instead of whipping cream.

Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2009
These brownies are so moist and yummy. The delicious icing adds an extra special topping to the moist cake-like brownies. It took my husband and I less than a week to finish off the whole pan. Before adding the zucchini, I thought that I must have forgotten something. The batter was so dry, but with all the positive reviews, I knew the recipe had to be correct. Thank you Marian.

This dessert was so easy to make. The filling is light and the strawberries add so much to the flavor. I used my homemade jam instead of the glaze and it turned out perfect. YUMMY!

This is the best and easiest recipe yet. I have made it three times and each time, it has turned out great. Everyone at our Thanksgiving dinner wanted the recipe. PS... I used the paper bag and cold water test.... no thermometer.

Tortillas II

I had no idea how easy it would be to make tortillas. I used butter flavored shortening and hot water. They turned out great, but I need to work on the shaping a little more.

Peaches and Cream Pie II

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2008
This is definitely a 5 star dish!! We loved it even though it seemed to take a long time to make (the cooling of the crust and the jello mixture and then waiting for the jello to set up). The only changes that I made were walnuts instead of pecans and I used less sugar. It was plenty sweet after cutting more than 1/2 cup of sugar from the jello layer. I will probably use more cream cheese next time, only because I love that layer the most. The fresh peaches make this dish so cool and refreshing for this time of year.
