I thought this recipe was great. I added 1 cup of chocolate chips, and everyone loved it.

Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich with Garlic Mayo

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2007
We loved this recipe! I used leftover london broil for the meat and added 1/2 lb mushrooms. In place of the hoagies I used french bread (doesn't get as soggy.) We loved the garlic mayo sauce and will definitely be making this recipe again! Thanks.

Chicken Salad with Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2007
I really enjoyed this salad, especially with fresh garden tomatoes and the avocado in it! The Worcestershire sauce jazzes up the mayo dressing just a little bit. It was a light, refreshing lunch and uses ingredients that most people have on hand. Only thing I omitted was the celery.

London Broil Sauce

Wow! This was way to onion-y for my family's taste. Won't use this recipe again.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2008
I made this last night, and it turned out fine, but wasn't anything amazing. It was a little too moist, so maybe I should have lengthened the cooking time. I added a glaze to the top per other reviews, which was tasty. All in all I'd say this was fine, but nothing to die for.

Mom's Stuffing Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2008
We thought this recipe was really delicious! I changed a bit, based on previous reviews. I used Ritz that were roasted vegetable flavor for the bread crumbs, used onion powder instead of onion for the picky ones in my family, added a little dried sage for seasoning, and used chicken broth instead of water. One review said 1c of broth, but 1/2 cup would have been plenty. I also had thin chops so I put the stuffing on top to start with and just cooked all together in oven for 1/2 hour covered and then 10min or so uncovered to crisp up the stuffing a little. It was really, really good and the smell was fantastic while it cooked as well. Overall, I find pork pretty bland, sometimes tough, and my least favorite meat, but this was tender, flavorful, and just darn good!:)

Sugar Cookie Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
This was very good frosting. It had the right consistency and dried nicely so I could stack my cookies on top of each other with no problem. It is pretty sweet (of course, it is frosting!) so I only halved the recipe for my set of about 32 cookies. It was just enough. Thanks for the recipe!

Deluxe Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
I really don't like sugar cookies. That being said, this recipe was actually not too bad as far as sugar cookies go! My kids like to make them so they can do all the cookie cutter shapes, and this dough was a little soft, but still worked well. I think leaving it in the fridge a little longer would be helpful. I rolled them to about 1/4 inch thick and they turned out nice and crispy on the outside with a little softness inside. If you want a really soft sugar cookie, this is not the recipe for you. Overall, I thought this recipe was great and met our needs well.

Peanut Butter Cookies IX

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
I really enjoyed these cookies! I followed the recipe almost exactly the first time, just adding a little more peanut butter, and then the following week I made them again to take to a kids' activity and I doubled the recipe (it just doesn't make as many cookies as my usual cookie recipes do. If I'm going to make cookies, I want plenty of them so they last a few days!) but used less chocolate chips than called for because I still actually found them a little too chocolaty (and I love chocolate!) They are more crunchy than I expected at first, but I really found them delicious and addictive. Will definitely keep this recipe and make again! Thanks.

Sweet Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
Well, I will say that when I tasted the first bite I thought these were pretty good. But then as I kept eating there was just something about the flavor of them that I just didn't care for. I reluctantly finished my pork chop, but felt dissatisfied after doing so since I expected these to be so much better. Maybe it was the celery seed flavor? I don't know. My husband took one taste of the gravy and opted out as well. For whatever reason, we just didn't care for these. Thnaks anyway!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
We have made this twice now and really enjoy this recipe. I omit the provolone cheese (just to make it one less thing I have to buy since it's the only thing we don't regularly have on hand at our house,) and the second time I made it I also added some spices to the meat to jazz it up a little bit. This ziti is a lot more moist than the recipe I've used in the past, but my husband really prefers moist ziti so it's perfect for us. Thnaks for the recipe!

Amber's Super Stuffing

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
This was the first time I made real stuffing (ie. not from a box or bag.) It turned out really delicious and I received many compliments from my extended family. I did add a little extra rice and mushrooms, but other than that I followed the recipe exactly. The rice kind of disappeared into the stuffing, which was odd. I expected to be able to see it. Maybe I cooked it a little too long to start with? Anyway, it didn't poorly affect the taste at all. I will definitely make this again!

Pumpkin Roll Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
Absolutely delicious! I followed the recipe exactly and used pillowcases to roll up the hot cake. Once in a while I had a little part crack on me, but nothing major at all and when you add the filling and re-roll you can't even tell. I've made these twice now for major family holiday events, and they swear this is what I'll be assigned to bring every year now. YUM! Thnaks for the recipe!

Lemon Poppy Seed Dessert Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
I thought this cake was pretty good, but not amazing. Most of my family really enjoyed it, though, so I may make it again. If I go all out and make a cake, though, I want an amazing recipe! All in all, no complaints.

Cream Puffs

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
Yum! These turned out delicious! I actually had my husband buy me a cake decorating bag/kit for Christmas so I can make these again and pipe the filling in instead of cutting them as I had to do the first time. Everyone loved the final product and I had no problems baking them. Next time I will try the white chocolate pudding filling some have suggested. Great recipe.

Honey Wheat Bread I

Reviewed: May 30, 2008
I am not a bread maker, but with a ton of stored wheat I needed to learn how. I tried this recipe, doubling the yeast and honey per others' suggestions, and using mostly whole wheat flour (only 1 cup of white flour) and it turned out delicious! I thought I'd have to try a million recipes before I found one my family would like, but this one is great! We will definitely be making this again and again!

Firefighter's Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: May 30, 2008
These cookies were yummy. I halved the recipe due to the ingredients I had on hand, and used toffee chips instead of candy bars. Per other suggestions I also added a little extra flour and lightly sprayed my pan with cooking spray so they didn't crumble coming off the pan. I found that even halving the recipe left me with 28 cookies, and that one tablespoonful of dough spreads out to a "regular"-sized cookie. This may not be my new favorite cookie, but they are really good and it's nice to have a change with the toffee in there.

Salmon with Dill

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2008
I made this recipe tonight, following it exactly. My husband and I both liked it, but it wasn't totally amazing or anything. The spices all combined nicely, but we probably didn't need quite so much. I served a sour cream/mayo/dill sauce on the side and that was a good addition. All in all, a good recipe. Thanks.

Pork Chops with Stuffing

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2008
We made this tonight and followed the recipe as written, except using dry stuffing in place of the bread cubes. It turned out delicious, with the pork being nice and tender and the stuffing topping nice and crisp the way I like it. This recipe is nothing extraordinary, but is a very decent, home cooked meal. We will make this again.
