Corn and Egg Flower Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2014
My kids REALLY wanted to make this dish after a recent trip to a Chinese restaurant. It's pretty tasty, but surprisingly spicy. Sadly, it was too spicy for my kids to enjoy. We'll make it again, but we'll leave out the vast majority of the white pepper. Thanks for the recipe!

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2014
Very good, but the onion soup mix makes it very salty. I'll try an alternative next time. The marriage of merlot, onion and soy sauce, though, was great! And the pork fell apart as I cut it.

The Best Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2013
Made exactly as the recipe states, and they are perfect. (Okay, not perfect because I'm terrible at cutting them, but that's my fault.)

Strawberry Streusel Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2012
These muffins are UNbelievable. There is not a thing about them that I would change. I think this is the first recipe I've ever made without altering, and my family WON'T stop eating them. Thanks for this!

Lentil Soup

With a few minor changes for my family's tastes (all mentioned in other reviews), I've been making this dish regularly for 3 years now! We love it, thanks!

Slow Cooker Parsley Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2011
This was awesome!! My 1 year old doesn't eat ANYTHING, and she scarfed it! I was out of muschrooms, and used bone-in thighs and drumsticks. I cooked it on High and it was falling off the bone in just over 3 hours. Highly recommend this!

Cornell Chicken Marinade

My chicken is usually kind of "Meh".. But my whole family LOVED this. Insanely simple. I ALWAYS have all of the ingredients on hand.

My Navy Bean Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2011
I was so disappointed!! Really looking forward to liking this, but it was extremely bland. I had to doctor it up quite a bit for any of us to enjoy it. Added salt, pepper, thyme and garlic, just to make it a passable dinner.

Artichoke and Roasted Red Pepper Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2011
This was much sweeter than I anticipated. I was hoping for something a bit more savory. Even with an added dash of cayenne pepper, I found this a bit too sweet for my liking, but good if that's what you are looking for.

Lemon Mushroom Herb Chicken

Reviewed: May 13, 2011
My husband declared this the best chicken I've ever made. I had no lemons so had to use lemon juice, and also (per review suggestion) added some lemon pepper to the dredge. Note: It makes the lemon flavor VERY strong. Not recommended if you like a mild lemon flavor. Next time, I think I'll add sliced mushrooms too.

Vegetable Koftas

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2011
These were a nightmare to make. They crumbled in the fryer. We were very disappointed. I followed the recipe to the letter. The crumbled bits that we scooped from the fryer were delicious, which made it even more disappointing that they did not hold together.

Pumpkin Bread

This recipe is delicious. I make it to the recipe every time (I've made 6 loaves already this holiday season). But every single loaf has collapsed in the center, and I can't figure out why.

Amazing Pecan Coffee Cake

This recipe is AWESOME. Made it the other night and it was so good that I made it again this morning for my Mom's group. Got rave reviews from the moms. I followed the recipe exactly.

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2010
This dish is easy and amazing. My sister made it for us, and the only change she made was fresh garlic rather than garlic salt. I will make this recipe again and again.

Enchilada Sauce

We found this very bland, even with new jars of seasonings. I doctored it quite a bit to our tastes.

Apple Cider Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: May 30, 2010
This recipe was great, but it's imparative that fresh herbs be used. I tried using dried basil, parsley and thyme, because all I had fresh was rosemary. The result was an overpowering flavor of rosemary. I suggest following the recipe. It's great as it's stated. PS I put the chicken/marinade in the freezer and just the thaw time allowed for perfect marinating time and the grilled chicken was quite juicy.

Kielbasa and Cabbage II

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
This was a good recipe. Surprisingly, my husband was ~not~ a huge fan of the addition of brown mustard. Next time I think we'll try the recipe in it's original form. Over all it was a good meal, served over egg noodles.

Raspberry Lemon Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2009
These weren't bad. It is, however, imperative that you use berries STILL frozen. With my first batch, the berries had thawed some, and the result was a bright pink muffin that tasted overwhelmingly of raspberry. The second batch (berries still frozen) had a much nicer blend of flavores and a more attractive result.

Sprinkles Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2009
These are strange muffins. Very dense, with an almost rubbery consistency. I was on the phone with a friend when I tried them, and I told her I did not like them, as I proceeded to eat half the batch.... I've since eaten the whole batch and still don't know if I like them. But I have to give them 3 stars because my daughter did like them.

Chicken Tortilla Soup I

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2009
THis was great. I used it as a last minute way to use some pulled pork, so I didn't make it traditional with chicken. I was also out of a few things (Hominy, chile peppers). It still turned out fantastic! I omitted the oregano and used fire roasted crushed tomatoes. The flavor was unbelievable! Loved this for a basic soup recipe that I can throw any left-over meat into!
