About this Cook
I live in Jacksonville, Florida with my wonderful husband and three "fur kids." I've been cooking and baking ever since I was a child. I love trying new recipes and sharing tried and true ones. I get a lot of joy and satisfaction out of others enjoying my food!
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking just about anything!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Growing up, eating dinner as a family was always highly valued. We almost always sat as a family and ate a home cooked meal. It's something I've carried into my marriage. My husband loves it. He was raised on TV dinners and can't remember ever eating as a family. Christmas is naturally a great tradition that sticks out in my mind. My Mom always makes the same breakfast casserole on Christmas morning. It just wouldn't be the same without it!
My cooking triumphs
Anything that my husband says is a keeper!
My cooking tragedies
I don't think I've ever had anything really crazy happen. My tragedies mainly consist of forgetting about and burning or drying out, and that old favorite of accidentally using baking soda instead of baking powder. I have also dropped things or forgotten ingredients. That's always fun. =)

Bacon Wrapped Chicken
This was delicious! My husband loved it. I did make a couple of changes though. I cut a pocket in the chicken breasts, seasoned the inside, and pushed the slices of cream cheese inside. I didn't have chives on hand. I used thick cut bacon, and wrapped each breast with two slices, and secured with toothpicks. I then browned them in a skillet until the bacon was nice and crispy. I knew if I just put them in the oven without browning first the bacon would be mush…yuck! I cut down on the mayo and milk as well. Delicious, and a definite keeper!

Peanut Butter and Pumpkin Dog Treats
My Siberian Husky gives these 2 paws waaay up! He absolutely loves them. I did make a couple of adjustments though. I doubled the peanut butter and pumpkin, and omited the salt. These are awesome and so easy to make.

Birthday Bones
My Husky LOVES these bones! They are his absolute favorite. He sits under me while I make them and can hardly wait for them to finish baking. I didn't change a thing, the recipe is perfect. Thanks for such a great, healthy treat recipe! I feel so much better knowing exactly what's going into my boy's treats!
