Banana Oatmeal Protein Bars

I made this for my trainer as she wanted something quick and good for her busy days. I made it as is and she, and her friends, liked them a a lot. She then asked if I could make it a cookie so it felt more like a treat. I made them with applesauce, added about 1/2 tsp nutmeg and a bit more vanilla, and used a small scoop to portion the cookies. I baked them at 350 about 12-13 minutes. They turned out great! Just enough cookie-like consistency, although a bit softer. I also let the batter stand about 5 minutes then stirred it before scooping. I plan on using pumpkin next time! Thanks for a great recipe!

Homemade Blueberry Pie Filling

It was the type of recipe I was looking for....just the filling. I did add some lemon juice and followed the rest of the directions for 4 servings, adding just a few more fresh blueberries at the end. It is a nice, not too sweet recipe. Thanks!

No Bake Granola Bars

I followed the recipe almost to the T, except I used less honey and added 1/2 tsp salt. I really enjoyed it! I heated the PB and honey to make it more liquidy for easier mixing, as suggested by another reviewer. This will be a great Go To recipe and I will be making these again and again. Thanks!

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

I had tried the "original" recipe when someone else made it and it was quite good. I toast it and have it with a bit of butter. I decided to try a few different things and it turned out well. Here's what I did: used half white sugar and half brown sugar, added a bit of cinnamom and nutmeg, and instead of regular salt, I added Chocolate Chipotle Sea Salt, since I had some (great in lots of baking!-sold at a local artisan market))I also added chocolate chips and used pecan crumbs as I didn't have walnuts.

White Wine Vinaigrette

Great basic recipe. After reading the reviews, I added about 1 tsp Dijon and a dash of hot sauce. I grated 1 clove of garlic and minced the other as I love garlic and that makes the taste pop. Instead of sugar, I added honey. It was great...I will use it on my lentil salad again.

Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Balsamic Vinegar

This is a great recipe that only needed a bit of tweaking, simply to fit my tastes. As others suggested, I used more garlic and marinated this for a few hours, about 5 hours, and then boiled marinade to make a glaze to baste. I cooked it in the oven at 450 for 10 minutes then 250 for 30-40 minutes, basting with boiled marinade every 10 minutes. Very yummy!

Spicy Tomato and Lentil Soup

This is my first lentil soup and I did use other reviews to do as follows - used 4 cups no salt added chicken broth, 2 cloves garlic, 1 tsp cumin, 1/2 cup shredded carrot and 1 cup cooked spinach. I also used a can of diced tomatoes with chiles and lime juice. Quite yummy!

Slow Cooker Beef Roast

This was a very tasty dish and the first slow cooker recipe I ever tried. I did not have all the veggies so I just used onion. After the roast was done I thickened the juices slightly for more of a gravy. The leftovers are in the fridge, the meat shredded in the sauce and will be used for sandwiches, with coleslaw, tomorrow.
