Pumpkin Pancakes

i wasn't all that thrilled with these. they were good, but i will stick with Alton Brown's pancake mix instead.

Basic Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
it does yield a very flaky crust, but because it is so flaky, it doesn't hold its shape well once cut -- which doesn't really matter since you are going to eat it anyway i guess. i used unsalted butter in place of the shortening, next time i will use salted butter instead.

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2009
utterly delicious! i used 2 cups of crushed oreos for the crust and seedless raspberry jam microwaved for 15 seconds. one of the best cheesecakes i have made.

Herbed Greek Roasted Potatoes with Feta Cheese

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2009
HOLY SMOKES! these potatoes are fabulous -- perhaps the best i have ever made. i put these in a cast iron skillet on the grill, covered with foil, and let them bake for 40 minutes. the feta adds such a nice subtle flavor to these. this will be my go to potato recipe from now on. thanks so much cyndi.

Steakhouse Wheat Bread for the Bread Machine

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2009
YUM! i decided to replace the honey with molasses and used coffee in place of the water. this produced a nice small loaf, perfect for two people. i loved this bread and i will make again.

Key West Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2009
this is a fantastic simple marinade! i did double the honey and lime juice, but i would add a touch more lime juice next time. i also added a few shakes of lemon pepper. these flavors blend so well together.

Juicy Peach Crisp

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2009
this is a nice yummy treat. next time i will cut back the white sugar to 1/2 cup and cut back on the butter just a tad. i also added just a touch of vanilla. thanks for the recipe.

Zucchini Patties

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2009
i was pleasantly surprised by how yummy these were. i used potato flakes in place of the flour and decreased the cheeses a bit for personal preference. will definitely make again. i just sprayed the skillet with Pam in place of the vegetable oil to make it a bit more healthy.

Old Fashioned Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2009
i have always had a ridiculous fear of making potato salad because of the thin balance between undercooked potatoes and overcooked potatoes. however, i tackled my fear head on with this recipe and it turned out fantastic! i did omit the celery and added dill weed and paprika. this will be my go to potato salad from now on. thanks!

Raspberry Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2009
what a nice summer cake. this was baked in two 9 inch round pans at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. the gelatin was omitted because i forgot to get it at the store, but it still turned out wonderful. also, a 12 ounce bag of raspberries was used and it was perfect. it was layered with raspberry sauce and topped with lemon cream. the frosting is not the one that it stated but rather Butter CReam Frosting. i would use a different frosting next time as the buttercream tatse didn't compliment the raspberry and lemon flavors at all.

this was used as a filling and top layer of the Raspberry Cake. easy to make and it has a great, not too sugary, flavor.

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

delicious flavor. i skipped the anchovy paste and the peppers for personal preference. made this to top Jay's Signature Pizza Crust along with Lime Chicken (from Lime Chicken Soft Taco recipe here on AR) and feta cheese.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
oh, my goodness what a wonderful pizza crust. i am not a bread baker so the fact of kneading the flour into the dough made me a bit nervous, but this is so easy to make. i baked it on a pizza stone and it yielded the most delicious crispy outside and soft inside.

Chocolate Cornstarch Pudding

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
yummy! it is silly how when you grow up having jello instant pudding, you forget that you can just make it yourself. it tastes better and is really easy. i used Hershey's Special Dark cocoa, 1% milk and omitted the butter and vanilla. a nice light dessert.
