I am really not much of a cook, but rather I love to bake. I tend to search for tried and true recipes and may tweak them a bit to my liking.
My favorite things to cook
I have such a sweet tooth: cookies, cakes, muffins -- any dessert in general.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When I was in high school and college, every winter break my grandma and I would make dozens of Christmas cut out cookies. We would spend one day baking them all and the next day decorating them. I really miss those days.
My cooking triumphs
Anytime someone compliments something I made. :O)
My cooking tragedies
I made this cherry cobbler once to bring to a work pot luck, and as I was taking it out of the oven, the top of the pan hit the oven and toppled over into the bottom of the HOT oven. Lets just say it was a bit messy! (at least it went into the oven instead of on my bare feet -- a lesson learned!)

Tangy Mustard
One word...delicious! I forced myself to wait the entire two weeks. I bought a fresh loaf of bread from the farmer's market this morning, got some premium lunch meat from the grocery store and sat down to one of the best sandwiches I have ever had...certainly the best I have made thanks to this mustard. I couldn't find the Oriental mustard seeds so I just used a teaspoonful of the powder. I no longer have to purchase mustard. No store bought mustard will ever compare to this homemade one anyway. Thanks pelicangal!

Baked Pineapple Casserole
Used pineapple chunks because that is what I had. Probably would use crushed next time for a fuller flavor.

Marinated Pork Tenderloin
So simple and tasty. Baked in the oven at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
