About this Cook
Happily married to a Sicilian who loves food and mother of two - one who is a vegetarian! Makes for an interesting dinner on any given day!
My favorite things to cook
I am a baker. I love to bake and decorate cakes. I don't mind cooking everyday foods either, but get much more satisfaction seeing a cake I've created light up someones face.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My daughters have this "new craze" where I have to make them a dozen different cookies for the holidays. If only they would offer to clean up after as easily as they offer to eat everything once it's done.

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie
This past weekend, my husband asked me to try to make him a coconut custard pie. I personally don't like coconut, but don't mind making him things he likes. I came across this recipe and gave it a try. I followed suit and substituted with coconut milk, corn starch and coconut extract. I also made homemade whipped cream. I won't rate the taste since I don't like coconut and can't be fair, but everyone that has tried it, loves it. So much so, I had to make another one tonight for them. Quick. Easy. Rave reviews. Works for me!

Sweet Dijon Salad Dressing
Love this! Mistakingly thought it said "honey dijon" and the family is raving! Tried it both ways and both are awesome! Served over arugula, with dried cranberries, roasted almonds, French's fried onions and feta cheese! I can't get enough! Thanks for sharing!

Cream Puff Shells
Hubby loves cream puffs, so I make these often for him. You can also substitute beer for the water and fill the puffs with chicken, tuna or egg salad! Delicious!
