I was looking forward to trying out this recipe but, to my dismay, I ended up dumping the whole thing. It was all because of the "dumplings". I followed this recipe exactly as written but allowed the biscuits to cook a little bit over an hour, all the while on the high setting. I don't know if it was my expectation of something a bit harder, but the dumplings turned into this slimy, raw-tasting dough. They ruined the whole thing, as the sauce and chicken could have been quite delicious, if not for the dumplings. Perhaps I had different expectations for dumplings, but this just did not seem edible. Very disappointing, especially for having such a terrific rating!
