Good. Seemed too sweet. Maybe next time I'll add some salt and vanilla and cut the sugar a little.

Make Ahead Lunch Wraps

Seasoned rice with garlic powder, salt, and chili powder. Added almost a cup of cilantro and some cumin and taco seasoning to the whole mix. Delicious.

Pumpkin Spice Cookie

Great recipe, but the cooking time isn't nearly enough! I did the first pan for 9 minutes, and ended up with gooey globs of dough. I thought maybe they just needed to cool, but no, now they are cold gooey globs of dough. This second batch I'm leaving in for at least 15 minutes. Oh, and I also added 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice and 1 cup chocolate chips.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Butter Frosting

I didn't like it. Then again, I've yet to find any home made frosting that I like. With how much powdered sugar you have to put in it, costwise it's just as cheap to buy a can of good frosting at the store!

The Best Unbaked Cherry Cheesecake Ever

An important trick: This cheesecake tastes SO MUCH BETTER if you leave it in the refrigerator for a day or so before eating it! I found this out quite by accident, but wanted to share my discovery. I'm not sure why this is, but it tastes so much more like cheesecake on the second or third day. If it just sets for a few hours it still tastes too "whippy". Other than that, I cut the sugar to 3/4 cup and added a teaspoon of real lemon. Delicious!

Dutch Apple Bread

Everyone else really liked it. I'm beginning to think that I have a sensitivity to buttermilk though, because every time I eat something with buttermilk in it, it has a horribly bitter taste. So, I didn't like it.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Turned out VERY well! I don't like chocolate chocolate chip cookies, but these were great! Nice and fudgy. My husband wanted white chips in them, so I did half white half semi sweet. Turned out great. Thanks for the recipe!

Followed the instructions exactly, except that I did all 'butter flavored shortening' rather than half butter half shortening. Everything worked out well, until I was ready to roll the dough into balls. It was crazy dry and crumbly! It wasn't like dough at all, just a bunch of wet crumbs. I had to add a couple of splashes of milk to make it stick together at all. Was this because of my shortening substitution? I don't know. They turned out well in the end. Yay.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

New Review: Tried this recipe again. Loosely packed the brown sugar, and cut the white sugar to 3/4 cup. Spooned the flour into the cup when measuring so as not to use too much. Used very cold butter, and added 1/2 tsp. Cream of Tartar as others suggested. They turned out great! My new fav. With the changes, I give it 5 stars. Old Review: I followed the recipe exactly, and it was pretty good. I felt the dough itself was way too sweet. If I try this recipe again, I will cut out 1/4 of the sugar, maybe even half.

Banana Banana Bread

Added 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp cinnamon, and 1/2 tsp nutmeg. Turned out Great! I also added a tablespoon of flax seed, to make me feel better about myself. :) Great recipe. I made two smaller loaves rather than one large one, and they burned little bit. I should have thought ahead and reduced the time. Now I know. :)

Ham, Potato and Broccoli Casserole

Used frozen country style hash browns in place of french fries. Added some Seasoned salt. Sprinkled cheddar cheese on the top at the end of baking and let it melt. Yum!
