Me & Mine
About this Cook
I am a married mother of 1 with one on the way. My husband is a pastor and we have recently moved to get a mission and a church started up.
My favorite things to cook
I Love to bake, bread, cakes, cookies, meals, whatever! I like trying recipes for some of my favorite foods, just to see if I can make it as good as restaurants. I like traditional american food too.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Banana Bread, White Bread, Wheat Bread, and Pies (although I am horrible at pie crusts)
My cooking triumphs
Most recently they have been cookies, cakes, hoememade enchilada sauce. My husband says that everything I make is good (sometimes our opinions differ though)
My cooking tragedies
PIE CRUST! I don't know why I have such a hard time with them but I do.

Simple BBQ Ribs
I used this recipe with beef ribs instead of the pork ribs and it turned out great. My husband loved them!

French Toast Casserole
I used 1doz eggs, and let it sit overnight, in the morning, before putting it in the oven, I stirred the bread around (I found that this keeps the top from drying out, as does covering it in foil to bake). My two little girls and my husband loved it.

Sweet and Sour Dipping Sauce
I made this sauce for my homemade egg rolls and my family loved it. The only thing I did different was to use a total of 2 & 1/4 tsp of corn starch, oh, and I didn't add any salt, it still turned out good.
