Cream of Asparagus and Mushroom Soup

Excellent, satisfying soup! I had a couple of portabella caps on hand so I used those instead of the white mushrooms. And I got to use my stick blender! So much easier and safer than a blender! One little time saver I employed was to use Hormel Crumbled bacon and bacon drippings reserved from another bacon frying session to saute the veggies.

Creamy Mushroom Soup

I added 1/4 cup sherry just because I know it adds so much to mushroom soup but I also added barley for a heartier soup. This is a great recipe also because it doesn't make a ton.
