I am a happily married, stay-at-home mother of 2 small boys, 1 and 3 yrs old. I love to cook, but sadly find myself trying to please a picky eating husband that hates to try anything new. So, I mostly cook for myself when he is at work. 4 years ago I had gastric bypass surgery and lost 160 pounds. I have gained some back due to child birth but I am working on it.
My favorite things to cook
I like to try and cook healthy. Since gastric bypass my taste and the things I can tolerate have changed. I prefer to eat vegetarian, when I do eat protein I stick to chicken and fish.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I live in the south where everything is fried, which is really what I try to stay away from. I don't really care for some southern dishes.
