Brunswick Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2009
I made a few small changes. I used 2 1/2 chicken breast that I shredded after cooking in 2 cups water with 2 chicken bouillon cubes. I added more salt, pepper and used 2 shakes cayenne pepper. I haven't eaten Brunswick Stew before, so I have nothing to compare it to. The flavor is great, but I think I will try omitting the breadcrumbs next time. It is very thick and the texture is a bit strange to me. Also, I didn't need to cook the potatoes as long as the recipe called for.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2008
This was so delicious! I doubled the sauce but ended up not needing all of it, so next time I won't do that. I used a bit of garlic powder too. I brushed the top with an egg, as recommended by another reviewer. Yum!!!

Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2008
The easy prep was great. I accidentally dumped the whole packet of onion soup mix in, so maybe that's why the flavor was off. I was expecting it to be more creamy than it actually was. I also may have put too many peas in. I will try again because I think the recipe has potential based on the other reviews.

Slow Cooker Thanksgiving Turkey

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2008
I omitted the bacon. I cooked for 6 hours on low. The flavor was decent, but it was dry. I should have read reviews about adding chicken broth.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2008
This is really good! I used the seasoning recipe in the first review. I used a Miller Lite for the beer. It's a bit spicier than I thought it would be, so I don't think I will be giving it to my toddler. My chicken was ready to shred in 4 hours, not 5. Yum!

Roquefort Pear Salad

Reviewed: May 21, 2008
This salad is FANTASTIC! It's even better than my favorite salad from my local gourmet restaurant. Double the dressing and serve it on the side. Don't mix in the avocado. Sprinkle it on top at the last minute so it doesn't brown. I will make this salad many more times! I love it!

Classic Texas Caviar

This was awesome and I will definately make again. Word of caution: WHEN CHOPPING THE JALEPENO PEPPER, WEAR GLOVES!!! I had some weird reaction and my hands burned like they were on fire for about 6 hours. It was horrible!

I make this a lot, shredding the chicken and making bbq sandwiches out of it. Sweet and tangy! Yum!

Turkey Broccoli Hollandaise

Reviewed: May 20, 2008
This turned out very good! A nice twist on a chicken and stuffing casserole using hollaindaise sauce instead of a cream of whatever soup. I was a bit skeptical, but I really like it! I used cubed chicken and chicken flavored stuffing. Next time I will use twice as much broccoli because I don't feel there was enough. The sauce tastes great with the broccoli and the fried onions added a nice crunch. Thank you!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2007
This was quick, easy and delicious! Restaurant quality in your own home. Next time I will add some red pepper because I like my food with a little kick. Excellent! I think I may have just found a way for my husband to eat fish!
