Very good. Unfortunately, I didn't have any onions, so just added frozen vegetables for extra "filling". But yummy anyway.

Very good. Added potatoes, because I always put potatoes in my chicken pot pies. (Used chicken instead of turkey.) Made 2 pies, with only top crust. Was out of a few of the seasonings, so added some lemon pepper seasoning, and basil. Both pies overflowed and created quite a mess in the oven, so next time I won't make them quite so full.

Kettle Corn

I am now thinking that I should invest in the type of popcorn popper that has a handle to turn while on the stovetop. Sugar did not dissolve, so there was a big clump of burned popcorn/sugar. I kept shaking the pan every few seconds, but the popcorn burned anyway. And apparently my nice pan doesn't have a great seal....a bit of the oil splattered. Not a big deal, but odd... So we will try this again someday, with another pan. Seems like a fun recipe if it works!

Chocolate Coconut Bars

Easy to put together, and everyone enjoyed them. I just thought it strange that it calls for 1 2/3 c. sw. cond. milk. I used a 14 oz. can, which measured about 1 cup, and they turned out fine. Easy, quick, and good!

Overnight Coffee Cake

This coffee cake was "okay". My husband and the kids enjoyed it, but I wasn't crazy about it. I didn't care for the cinnamon in it, except for the topping. I still much prefer our favorite coffee cake from a local hotel.

Pan de Sal - Filipino Bread Rolls

We made these rolls for my daughter's school report on the Philippines. The class loved them, and they were easy to make. My sister-in-law, who is from the Philippines, recommended this for an authentic recipe for the report. She said they eat them there all the time.

Amish White Bread

This was very easy and quick to make. I used regular baking flour. (I never use bread flour when baking bread, and have never had a problem.) Used my kitchen aid mixer. I ended up adding about 1/4 cup additional flour as I kneaded the dough. Next time I may make 3 smaller loaves, instead of 2 large loaves.... they were pretty big. Husband and kids enjoyed this.

Erica's Delicious Slow Cooker Beef Roast

This was good, but I thought the mushroom soup was a bit much. Next time I'll try something different or just do broth, and then make gravy. I followed a reviewer's suggestion of adding a bit of worcestershire, and balsamic vinegar. That added some flavor.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Excellent Cheesecake. After reading reviews, I went ahead and adjusted the butter to 1/4 cup. Crust just seemed to need more moisture. Used my Kitchen Aid mixer, but was careful not to overmix. A few of my kids complained that they liked my other cheesecake better. This one wasn't settling well... But there were no complaints with the leftovers! Only left in oven for 2 hours, and then in the fridge for 1 hour--no time for longer. Was even better the next day after the additional fridge time. Served with a huckleberry syrup I mixed together. Yum!

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies I

These were okay, but they seemed a bit bland-- like they were missing something. Very similar to my recipe, except that mine call for a bit of water. Maybe next time I'll experiment with half butter/half shortening and some vanilla. Good recipe with some tweaking.

Pralines II

These were awesome! A big hit in my house. These are going on my list for Christmas baskets. I liked that they were very easy---no need to stand at the stove stirring for a long time. Once it starts to boil you stop stirring and just keep an eye on the candy thermometer. Keep in mind that they start to firm up within a few minutes once you start putting them on the cookie sheets. So move quickly. My 12-year-old daughter put the pecans on to help with that. Thanks for a fun and easy recipe!

Roast Beef Burritos

These were really good! Everyone ate more than one, even the youngest in the family. I put my leftover roast in the crock pot on low all day, and it shredded very easily. This is a great way to use up leftover roast that otherwise might be too dried out.

Greek Pasta Salad

This is very easy, and delicious. Took it to a family get-together and it disappeared quickly, and people asked for the recipe. The first time I made it, I used a red pepper and a yellow pepper; the green pepper was way too expensive at my supermarket. I also cut back on the amount of the peppers that I add: approximately half of the green and half of the red. This will be a favorite.

Grandma's Rhubarb Torte

This was very good, and a bit different. A great way to use up an abundance of rhubarb. Shared w/ in-laws and they loved it. Leftovers were a nice treat the next day, too.
