Wheat Crackers

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
what a great recipe! I used my pasta machine to roll out the dough as thin as possible. I used an empty tuna can to cut out round crackers and I sprinkled them with coarse sea salt before baking them. And now I have a box with 58 wonderful wheat crackers! Super! Does anyone have a tip on how to keep them fresh?

Whole Egg Mayonnaise

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2008
I always make my own mayonaise. I do use a tablespoon of French mustard and use lemon juice instead of vinegar. I use sunflower oil or canola oil. First I put in the eggs, the mustard, lemon juice, pepper and salt and 1 tablespoon of oil. Make sure to keep the kichen aid (how do you call the mixer with blade to be used in this recipe???)on the bottom of the tall (preferably) glass container. Keep on mixing, while you gradually pour the oil in. Never take the base of the mixer out of the mayo until the mayo is done. Keep pulling the mixer upwards while adding the oil. Home made is wonderful! Use if for your potato salad!

Belgian Endive au Gratin

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2009
Wonderful recipe. If you don't want your sauce to become too runny, cook your endives the day before, so they can drain well. I'm Belgian too and this is one of our favorite Belgian dishes. :-)

Blender Chocolate Mousse

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2007
I was worried because of some reviews, but I wanted to try this mousse anyway. I skipped on the brandy and I added 1/2 cup of heavy cream, but still, it didn't stiffen up. I put it in the fridge and forgot about it. After 24 hours, my daughter got them out of the fridge and guess what: it looked and tasted delicious!!! This is going to be one of my favorites! I even sold it in my shop! Thanks for sharing this recipe

Breakfast Kolaches

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2013
Had never tries kolache before. I read about them in a book and I wanted to try them right away so I looked for a recipe and yours came up with many good reviews. I had no sausage, but I had some leftover ham that I used. I topped the potato with scallions. Love those rolls. Will wrap them up and freeze them for work lunches later on. Thank you for sharing!

Crumpets

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2009
I had only had store bought crumpets before, but those were way much drier than these scrumptious crumpets. Thanks for sharing! I'm very happy with this recipe. I read it at 9 PM and I started making them right away. I will post this recipe on the hippoandfriends website in the kids section, for children with diabetes. Thank you very much :-)

Scotch Eggs

In Belgium, this recipe is called "Bird's nest". It is served with mashed potatoes and covered in tomato sauce. Very yummie. I bake them completely in the oven, without frying them first. As delicious and less greasy

Bacon for the Family or a Crowd

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2008
thanks for sharing. I work in a lunch bar and this is how we cook our bacon to serve on eggs. At home, I put the bacon on paper towels and then microwave it. The grease goes into the paper towels and you end up with crisp bacon. Do not walk away from your microwave, it goes fast!
