Pan-Fried Asparagus

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2008
This was awesome. I made a few changes, I used butter flavored cooking spray instead of butter, 1 T olive oil instead of 2 T and I added a little garlic at the end. It was phenomenal!!!

This was fabulous!!! I followed the recipe exactly except I adjusted the cooking time. The tenderloin was very moist and flavorful. I served it with baked apples, wild rice and grilled asparagus. Excellent, Excellent and Excellent!!

Sweet Potato Casserole II

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2008
Excellent, Excellent and Excellent. I did make a few changes: 1) I used canned sweet pot. 2) I only used 1/4 cup butter instead of 1/2 cup butter 3) I used 1/4 cup white sugar and 1/4 cup brown sugar instead of 1 cup white sugar 4)I used evaporated milk instead of regular milk 5) I skipped the topping completely With all my changes I still received raving reviews. Definitely a keeper...:)

Simple Baked Apples

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2007
Excellent recipe with a few changes. I cut the white sugar to 1/4 cup and added 1/4 cup brown sugar. Plus I increased the cinnamon to 1 tsp and added a dash of vanilla. LOVED IT!!! Oh yeah, I did not peel the apples and used skim milk (as that is what I had on hand)...worked just fine...:)

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2007
I have made something similar to this for a few years. Whenever I make this for company I am begged for the recipe. I do use two (15 oz) cans of pure pumpkin and also made the following changes/additions to the spices: 1 tsp cloves and 1/4 tsp allspice.

Perfect Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2007
I am giving the recipe "as is" a 4 star rating. I made a few changes (based upon a pumpkin bread recipe) and would give the pumpkin pie using the changes a 5 star rating. I started by using a graham cracker crust and then changed/added the following spices: 1/4 tsp cloves and 1/4 tsp nutmeg, plus I used evaporated milk ( instead of sweetened condensed milk..as I didn't have any) and added 1/2 cup white granulated sugar and 1/4 cup brown sugar. Came out delicious!!!

BBQ Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2007
Very yummy recipe. I used two cans of shredded chicken in water instead of cooking and dicing chicken to cut down on time and it came out very tasty. Will definitely be making again. Thanks!!!

Thai Pork Satay

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2007
It wasn't bad just bland. I was hoping the sauce would be more robust/flavorful considering it was Thai.

Marinade for Steak I

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2007
I'm giving a four star because I thought it was a great marinade for the veges although I did not think it added anything to the meat. Maybe it was because I cooked the veges/meat in a stir fry instead of grilling like a kabob...all in all, definitely will use again!!!

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Loved this recipe although I added more vegetables (pineapple, white onion, bell peppers (white yellow and red) and water chestnuts) and cooked it as a stir fry. AWESOME!!!

Burgundy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2007
Very yummy. I used this recipe for a beef roast (cooked in the crock pot on low for 6 hours). I omitted the celery...added potatoes/carrots and used three brown gravies. My kids loved it (even my picky 6 year old)...:)

LuvAnn's Guacamole

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2007
WAY TOO MUCH SALT. I wish I would have read the other reviews before making this. I think it would be good with 1/4 tsp or 1/3 tsp salt. The salt ruined guacamole layer of the dip I was making. Will try next time using a fraction of hte salt.

Hawaiian Banana Nut Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2007
Not a fan of this recipe. I love bananas and can't get enough of pineapple, but the bread was so busy and dense. I ended up throwing it away. Really reminded me of fruitcake. I will not be making again.

Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2007
Very yummy! I did half the amount of corn syrup and added 1/4 cup brown sugar. I also cut the honey down to 1 cup, but still found it a bit to honeyish so I added a pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and allspice. Came out wonderful.....will use again.
