The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Made recipe as is except rolled in powdered sugar. they were pretty bland. The dough was simple to roll out after several hours of chilling. I prefer a more buttery, less floury cookie and will not be baking these again.

Red Velvet Cupcakes

Bland and waste of time and money. Not very chocolatey. Substituted buttermilk for milk. Maybe blandness is just the nature of red velvet in order to let the cream cheese frosting shine? Will not make again.

Peanut Butter Pie I

Loved this, I used natural peanut butter so it didn't end up being too sweet in my opinion. If you use one of those peanut butters with added sugar you may want to cut back the sugar in the crust and or/filling to your preference.

Self-Filled Cupcakes I

Made alot of filling, I put at least a tablespoon in each and still had more left, used home made cake. Put a little batter in botton, piped the filling on then topped with more cake. Frosted with whipped cream cheese frosting. Very good!

Homesteader Cornbread

Like many of the other reviewers I found this cornbread to be moist but pretty flavorless. Good with butter and honey but not very good plain. Grandmothers buttermilk cornbread much better.

Zucchini Brownies

These were ok. The batter was really dry and maybe my zucchini wasn't moist enough but there ended up being dry spots throughout the finished product. Made exactly as written except omitted the nuts.

Eat Michigan Salad

Excellent recipe. Didn't need to change a thing. For the candied pecans I toasted some pecans in a little butter and then mixed with sugar and a pinch of salt and pepper. Since I was only making half of the recipe, I just whisked the dressing ingredients together so I wouldn't have to wash my blender! Try this, you will not be disappointed!

Blender Hollandaise Sauce

This was unbelievably easy to make. I thought it was plenty thick. My butter was extremely hot when pouring it in. I used the sauce on eggs benedict and it was really good although I am not entirely convinced that I even needed it because it doesn't add a whole lot of flavor to it.

Restaurant-Style Coleslaw I

This was very good. I made the dressing ahead of time and mixed it in about an hour before serving. This allowed me to add the dressing to taste and also the cabbage was nice and crunchy.

Crab Quiche I

I didn't really care for this. Added 1 extra egg as many other reviewers did. If you like crabcakes you will probably like this, if you don't than you probably won't like this since it is very similar in texture to a crabcake. I did have to cook around an hour until it was done.
