Pork Chalupas

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2011
This was awesome and so easy! I added 2 10oz. cans of tomatoes and green chili's that I had on hand instead of just plain green chilies. That was the only substitution I made. I was scared to put the beans in with out at least a soak but I did and they were tender and yummy. Everyone loved it and I have enough leftover for lunch for my dh tomorrow and a full dinner another night. Delish!

Authentic, No Shortcuts, Louisiana Red Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2010
I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy this....it smelled pretty beanie while it was cooking....but it was FANTASTIC! Like others have already said it is pretty watery but the broth was delicious. My 9 year old had 2 helpings. The only substitution I made was smoked sausage instead of andouille. I will definitely make it again!

Island Kielbasa in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2010
I cut this recipe in half and then cut back on the brown sugar even more (maybe 1/2-3/4 c. loosely not packed) cooked up an onion and the kielbasa together then dumped the rest into the pan and let simmer for about 30 min on the stove top....it was yummy! Everyone enjoyed it served over egg noodles....I'll be making it again with chicken and maybe pork too.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2009
made it tonight....so easy and yummie! I could not believe how so simple a recipe could turn out so great. Made it exactly as stated except didn't add the sugar....used bulls eye bbq sauce....which I thought was already sweet enough. I'll be making this often...thanks for the recipe!

Parmesan Chicken I

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2007
I liked the idea of it being a one pot meal. It only took 4 hours to cook and I added an extra 3/4 a cup of water. It was good but next time I'm leaving out the dry onion soup mix and adding green beans and French's Fried Onions....I will make it again.

Orange Pork

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2007
I made this last night with boneless pork ribs...I followed the reccomendations and put less soy sauce in-about half a cup to double the o.j.,and doubled the brown sugar. I sliced the pork into strips cooked it and set it aside. Then I made the sauce. After taste testing it my husband and I felt someting was missing so I put about 2 tsp. of worstechire sauce in the pan and that did the trick! Will make again for the mother in law but as per husbands request I'll slice some onion very thin and add that and maybe try it over some rice noodles instead of rice.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
used parm, dried parsley, garlic powder, mayo, I can't believe it's not butter light and pepper for the sauce. Lightly sprinkled adobo on both sides of fillets about an hour before cooking. We LOVED it! Hubby suggested the same sauce be used with crab for a dip, trying that next. YUM-O
