Omelet in a Mug

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2012
I have made these for ages. The only difference is I add a tablesppon or so of milk when I whisk the eggs to make them fluffier. Very easy and quick to make!

Healthier Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2012
Very good! The only thing I did differently is to use seasoned black pepper and I added powdered onion and garlic. I cooked these in the crock pot and they came out perfect! VERY GOOD!

Touchdown Pizza

This was amazingly delicious!!!! The key is to use a very good brand of wing sauce. I used a local wing houses sauce and used more chicken...other than that exactly as written! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

Rainbow Clown Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
I used the same idea for my 12 year old son's birthday. I also made the icing tye-dyed. I called it a tye-dye cake. It turned out pretty cool and everyone loved it. But, I made a yummy homemade banana cake!!! What a cool way to celebrate for an adult or older child.

We really enjoyed this. I followed Lisa's recommendation and cut back on the butter. I will make this again and again!

Hot Pizza Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2013
Ok, this is one of those recipes I tweaked and I am glad I did! It was amazing! I tripled the recipe and I mixed the cream cheese in my KA mixer with all the spices. Mixed in the cheese and then instead of pizza sauce I used a can of drained diced tomatoes. I used an 8 ounce package of the Hormel chopped pepperoni. I did not layer, I stired everything together and poured in a pan and baked at 400 for 30 minutes. There wasn't a drop of this left! It was so good!

Slow Cooker Macaroni and Cheese I

Reviewed: May 21, 2012
This was a great base recipe. BUT, it does need tweeked! I put this in the crock pot on low and it was done in 2 hours. I also added a tsp of ground mustard (I always use it in my mac and cheese), used more milk and more cheese.......used extra sharp and colby. I will not use both eggs next time - maybe one?

Slow-Cooked Beef Lasagna

The texture and the end result was nothing like I expected. I will go back to baking my lasagna in the oven. Easy - but unedible!

Squash Casserole II

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2011
I love squash and wanted something yummy besides fried squash. My neighbor gave me this recipe to try and it is AMAZING! The only change I did make was adding grated cheese to the recipe to make it cheesy and kid friendly! One hint I would like to give is -- instead of boiling the squash and onion, sautee it in olive oil for 10-15 minutes. This gives the dish a better flavor and the squash isn't as mushy!

Pepperoni Meatza

Reviewed: May 15, 2013
This is an excellent alternative to pizza while on South Beach phase one. I add tons of veggies and use sugar free pizza sauce. We all enjoy this -- it kills the pizza craving until we are able to have some whole wheat dough!!

Antipasto Squares

AMAZING! The only thing I did different is add pepperocini in place of the red roasted peppers. A personal preference! This was a thumbs up by all family members!

Earthquake Cake II

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2011
VERY DELICIOUS, however I think the instructions should be to swirl the sugar mixture throughout the cake. I poured it on the cake and when it baked it all ran straight to the middle. The only great part of the cake was the middle. I doubled the pecans and the coconut. WILL make this again - using a bundt cake pan this time and layering the pecans, coconut, cake mix and sugar mixture........

Aunt Millie's Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2011
This was a good recipe. However, I did follow a few suggestions and I used cream of celery soup in place of mushroom. I also used extra sharp cheddar cheese - just a preference thing. It was delicious --- for more sauce I doubled the soup and cheese. Topped with Texas Toast sesaoned croutons. DELICIOUS!

Tex-Mex Chicken and Rice Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2011
I have tried this the original way and it was DELICIOUS! But, I have made it with alterations due to the ingriedents I had on hand, as well. I used cheddar cheese soup and a can and a half of chicken broth mixed with 3/4 packet of taco seasoning, corn, diced tomatoes, black beans, rice and cheddar cheese mixed in..........threw chicken tenderloin pieces on top and covered then put mexican cheese on top.....BOTH WAYS ARE DELICIOUS!!! A GREAT RECIPE!

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
Hmm, not too hard to make at all! I used a lemon cake and lemon frosting and dipped in milk chocolate. They turned out great! I found the secret to coating them in chocolate........use a plastic fork - and hold the cake ball on the fork and drizzle the chocolate all over the balls. VERY EASY!!

Chicken with Stuffing

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2010
This was an outstanding meal! I did triple the recipe. I woudn't use quite as much lliquid the next time, however. I omitted the butter to cut back on some of the calories and used all chicken stock in place of the water and butter. LOVED this! A keeper for sure!
