Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2007
I read the reviews and replaced the oil with 1/2 oil and 1/2 applesauce. I also added in extra seasonings and did 2 cups of white sugar and 1 cup brown sugar. I did not care for this recipe.

Slow Cooker Reuben Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
This was fantastic!!!! We used it on tortilla chips. My 9 year old ate it with a fork out of the bowl. My 21 year old said "it not only smells great it tasts so good mom!!!! Make it again!" I doubled this recipe and it lasted two days in my house.

Creamy Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
This was YUMMY!!! Instead of cream of potato soup, I used cheddar cheese and cream of chicken soup. Other than that I left the recipe as is and it was a hit! It was the perfect side dish with our ham! I will make this again and again!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2008
Oh wow!!! This is fantastic!!! I used fresh chicken brests that I cooked up and cubed very small. I also used blue chesse dressing and non-fat cream chesse -- I did cut the cream cheese in half and only used one block --it was more than plenty! I WILL be making this again!

Meat Loaf Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2009
This was outstanding! I read the other reviews and like others I did not use a pie crust (that sounds disgusting to me) and placed the burger on the bottom of the pie plate with a layer of cheese, a layer of corn, mashed potatoes and another layer of cheese. To give it flavor when I browned the ground beef I put Montreal Steak Seasoning in the burger with some sea salt and garlic. I used bold A-1 steak sauce as well. This was a HIT!!! YUM

Cheese Lover's Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
The only change I made in this recipe is that I whisked in one cup of mayo with the mushroom soup. OMG it made it one of the creamiest tuna noodle casseroles I ahve ever had!!! LOVED THIS!

Maple Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
The ony thing I changed with this recipe was using gingersnaps for the crust in place of the graham cracker crust. What a perfect option! This was sooooooooo good!

Strawberry Coffee Cake

I couldn't wait to make this! I used real butter and doubled the recipe. It was just "ok" nothing fabulous and will most likely not make it again. My kids wouldn't even eat this!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2010
This is amazing!!!! I made this last week and my son and his girlfriend were mad they weren't here to share it!! So, I am popping it in the crockpot for dinner tomorrow night again! The only difference is, I use frozen chicken breast tenderloin pieces for this recipe and use chicken broth in place of water! AMAZING!! BUT........it will take longer than 30 minutes for the biscuits to cook through. I put mine in about an hour to an hour and a half before dinner. EXCELLENT!

Rainbow Clown Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
I used the same idea for my 12 year old son's birthday. I also made the icing tye-dyed. I called it a tye-dye cake. It turned out pretty cool and everyone loved it. But, I made a yummy homemade banana cake!!! What a cool way to celebrate for an adult or older child.

Chicken with Stuffing

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2010
This was an outstanding meal! I did triple the recipe. I woudn't use quite as much lliquid the next time, however. I omitted the butter to cut back on some of the calories and used all chicken stock in place of the water and butter. LOVED this! A keeper for sure!

Bill Clinton's Lemon Chess Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
This may very well be Clinton's favorite pie, but my gram gave me a recipe from a cook book that belonged to her great grandmother from the early 1800's. Never the less, this is a great and tasty pie!!!

Dill Pickle Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2010
This was a fair meatloaf. It was certainly moist and had a distinct flavor. I actually tripled the glaze. This was an overall very good meatloaf. The ONLY change other than tripling the glaze was I used 1/2 cup of bread crumbs in place of the bread. GOOD!
