Cherry Pie IV

This pie was amazing!!! I was a little short on cherries as I had to pick out a few bad ones from my bunch so I had some extra leftover dough. I also only used 1 cup of white sugar and still found it to be slightly too sweet for my taste - that would be my only change for next time...a bit less sugar. My BF said it was the best pie he's ever had though!

Original Nestle® Toll House® Chocolate Chip Cookies

OMG awesome. I ate way too much of the raw dough. The recipe was easy and made a great cookie! The only change I made was that I doubled the vanilla, which I always tend to do. I agree with other posters who say to use room temp eggs and butter. Next time I might refrigerate the dough a bit before the baking process.

Pizza Dough III

Wow!! This recipe turned out great! I doubled the recipe, I had no problems with it being too sticky. I did as another poster suggested and cooked it at 400 degrees and it definately was not soggy at all. I also added some italian seasoning and garlic salt and it had great taste. Will definately use again!

Cinnamon Rolls II

I used this recipe for my first time ever making cinnamon rolls. It did NOT turn out well. I followed the recipe & directions to a T (still wondering if I did something wrong...) and the rolls ended up being kind of stiff...not soft as I like a cinnamon roll to be. Also, the cinnamon sugar filling was almost impossible to spread for some reason...too dry. I doubt I'll be trying this one again, even the cream cheese frosting wasnt good enough to save it.

Sylvia's Ribs

I didnt add the Steak Sauce (didnt have any) and didnt put any hot sauce (my preference) and I absolutely loved these ribs. Sauce was fantastic! Make sure you cover the bottom of your baking pan in tinfoil before making these saucy ribs...otherwise its a pain to clean up - lesson learned.

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II

I made this, as others suggested, using sour cream in lieu of mayonnaise, the rest of the recipe I followed exactly. It's good, I suppose, but I don't like it enough to make it again. It feels like its missing some flavour (maybe because of the sour cream?) and the texture was a little thicker than I normally like.

Cheesy Sausage Pasta

This was very tasty but I had some trouble getting the sauce to thicken. I ended up using more cheese and added about a tsp of cornstarch to get the sauce to thicken.

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

I wasnt a big fan of this recipe. I thought I'd try it because it had so many good reviews but I found it to be too sour/salty tasting to me (most likely from the Sour Cream & Cottage Cheese ingredients) and the breadcrumb topping dried out the macaroni too much so that it wasnt as creamy as I would have liked.

Borscht II

Great Borsch! I was trying to find a recipe that is similar to my Grandma's Polish Borsch and this one sounded close. Im giving this 4 stars because, like other reviewers said, it needs that fresh dill to give it the right taste. I added about 3 tablespoons. I also used much more cabbage and beets than was supposed to. an entire small head of cabbage and 6 large beets. I also think this recipe would be better if using short ribs instead of beef schank, but everyone in my family enjoyed this. Tumbs up - im not an experienced cook yet and it was not too difficult to make.
