I swirled the lemon on top and sides to produce a fancy, professional look, then countered that by decorating with a fun border and centerpiece of candy lemons. Turned out terrific!

Photography Notes: I used natural light filtering through our windows to highlight the cake, then placed a solid white tea towel that had been folded to produce a slightly noticed but not boring background. I also presented the cake on a red platter, livening the picture and bringing out the yellow lemons on a plain white frosted cake.
