Apricot Chicken

Reviewed: May 27, 2010
Very delicious recipe. I didn't realize it was a microwave cooked recipe. Since I don't generally cook whole meals in the microwave I made this dish in a skillet instead and I added 1/2 cup chicken broth for added sauce. Came out great, will definitely make again. Thanks Vicki

Best Hamburger Ever

Reviewed: May 4, 2010
Way too strongly flavored for my family. While my husband liked it my girls and I did not. I guess we would have been happier with the "tasteless bread crumbs" or just plain ground beef burgers topped with cheese. Sorry.:(

Champagne Shrimp and Pasta

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2010
A great dish! Delicious. My 2 kids are super picky and they both took seconds. My only change was to substitute light cream for the heavy cream. The sauce was still very creamy. Thanks for a super dish I will definitely make again.

Easy Turkey Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
Very Delicious, I added 1 cup of peas while the sauce was simmering and it added some color. I will definitely make this again. One change I would make is to cut the amount of salt to 1/2 tsp. Thanks for a quick yummy recipe.

Easy Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
Just made this for dinner. Very tasty and moist . I always use thin sliced chicken breasts so the cooking time is 1/2 hour tops. I used garlic and herb bread crumbs, very nice garlic flavor though it may be a little too intensely garlic for some

Maple Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
Made these with my girls for a cookie exchange. It was our first time making cookies from scratch. This recipe was very easy to put together. The cookies came out a nice golden brown and they taste just like buttermilk pancakes with syrup. Next time I might try making ice cream sandwiches with them. They'd go great with vanilla ice cream.

Ground Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
Very delicious, even my daughters who are somewhat picky liked it though as I'm the only one in my family who likes mushrooms I'll probably leave them out next time. Also I think the recipe could use a little more meat for the amount of sauce so next time I'll use 1 1/2 lbs ground beef. Thanks Linda for a really great easy to make dish that's perfect for busy evenings

Balsamic-Glazed Salmon Fillets

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2008
Well, after reading all the rave reviews this recipe got I was expecting something really special. I was very disappointed. While my guests liked the dish alot, my husband and I thought it was way too bland. Perhaps if I had used a balsamic vinaigrette dressing it would have been tangier. I did bake the fish with all of the glaze on top as another reader suggested thinking the glaze would act as a marinade and the fish would pick up more flavor but it didn't. Two stars are because my guests liked it but I don't think I'll make it again. Sorry.

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2007
Very tasty. My husband loves chicken marsala and he thought this was delicious. The sauce was not as thick as I would have liked . Next time I'll add some more flour. I might also try a small amount of sour cream to give the sauce more body.

Portuguese Chicken I

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2007
I made this tonight and had to come rave about it. It was delicious. Just great! I made some modifications from the printed recipe. Since alot of cooks who reviewed this recipe felt the sauce was too runny I added 2 tbsp flour instead of one. My family does not care for bone in chicken I used boneless chicken breasts. It worked very well and it shortened the cooking time a bit. I try to reduce fat in my cooking any time I can. I substituted 1/3 cup Smart Balance Spread for the butter and light cream for the heavy cream. Could not find chicken stock in the store so I used plain chicken broth. I left out the salt and pepper and didn't miss it. The sauce was so great I wanted to eat by the spoonful. I'll definitely make this again. Perhaps I'll add some sauteed mushrooms next time. Perhaps a sprinkling of paprika for color too. Enjoy!

Apricot Brisket

We were very disappointed with this recipe. While the meat was very tender, my family thought the gravy was very bitter. We'll probably not make this again.

Soy Ginger Salmon

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2007
Good flavor but cooking times are way off. My salmon fillets were somewhat thick and I had to put the fish back under the broiler 3 times before it was done. Even when I extended the cooking times the fish needed rebroiling. I don't think I'll make it again.

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2007
This was a very delicious dish. I used light soups and part skim mozzarella for a lower fat recipe. I used boneless chicken breasts cut into bite sized pieces and sauteed before putting the ckicken in the casserole. This worked well. My husband liked the dish a lot but suggested next time topping with bread crumbs along with the mozzarella.

Incredible! Very delicious and very attractive too. Great "company" dish. I Think it would be better served with rice than with mashed potatoes.

Absolutely delicious. Just the right amount of lemon flavor. I served it with a noodle side dish but it would be great served over rice. Good company dish too!
